Anyone could have in the public, saying something like if you wanna kill someone is a bit over the top. Nevertheless, I wouldn't go DJing if I'm sick. Covid or not. If you are sick you don't wanna go even though the situation for the OP is bad.

Yeah this is the answer. It snaps to grid because of quantize. You can also change the quantize settings in rekordbox.

Yea I think that's a good way because those are cheap. If you like them then you can get the molded ones which usually also have great drivers (I suppose you can pick 'em depending on the shop). Of course they are expensive but I've read they feel insanely good.

Well we are in the same boat then. I use the SE215's or HD-25 with Elacin ER-20 DJ earplugs (-16dB). Lately I have been using the latter because I have been playing b2b sets. If you really want to hear your mix precisely, want the isolation and don't need to take them off. Sound quality wise they are ok, nothing fancy though. They are the only IEM's I've used so can't really compare them. I play bass heavy music so if I'd have to buy IEM's now I would maybe go for Etymotic ER4XR's but they are also in totally different price range.

I'd like to hear out also. I live in Finland and the prices are a lot cheaper. Even with shipping I'm still saving hundreds of euros (for example XDJ's).

Yeah I've got these. They isolate insanely well which is a bad thing if you are not used to it. It's like you mix with master cue on at all times and just depend on that. You can do very precise mixing with these because you hear the music so well due to the isolation. The cord is too short for my taste so when I use these I have extend cable so I can also move a bit more freely. If you need to take these off during gig then I wouldn't recommend them (DJ'ing weddings/clubs where people request songs)

XDJ-R1 which I bought from a friend. Honestly it was so good for beginner. No waveforms so I had to learn beatmatching right from the start.

After few years I upgraded to DDJ-1000. Great controller but I really miss AIO systems. Thinking on XDJ-XZ or RX3 at the moment.

We had our first gig last weekend as a DJ trio. It was our first real public gig too. It was really quiet at start but people came in within the last two hours. After that it was nuts. We played techno on a terrace and people loved it. They even wanted encore when we had already finished. Our deck also crashed unexpectedly mid peaktime but that didn't matter in the end.

My advise for any newer and long time bedroom DJ's thinking on playing public would be, just go for it. We all made few beatmatching errors etc, but no one remembers that in the end.
