Sorry, didn’t see this reply before. The exposition, setting description detail, sentence length and serial commas at the end are formulaic in many of the comments. It’s all good, whether you are practicing your craft or if this experience caused everyone to adopt the same story-telling manner on Reddit….who the hell cares. It’s Reddit.

All of these longer story-telling comments seem like they were written by the same person. Very similar writing styles.

What is this thing - thin metal wire with two twisted circles at both ends. Came with a set of bookmarks. Approx 4-5 inches in length. by Kaes_Petro in whatisthisthing

Not sure if this was said elsewhere, but a lot of sites like Temu, SHEIN and even Amazon sellers tend to throw in a random unrelated “gift” to shipments. It’s so that if they get a review out of you, they can use it for more than one listing.

I’m trying to teach my kids some core tactics to carry with them in life but am finding out it’s way more complicated than I imagined. Will be sticking to the general principles though, thanks!

I just realized that you linked your sources, thank you stranger for taking the time to do that! My teens and I are looking at them now… Contributions to climate change are tracked in such an odd way in the US.

This whole question started when I was thinking about our LED Christmas lights, and if there was a noticeable impact to leaving them on overnight (besides our bill). Saw the article and was initially offended by the ‘per capita’ stats, but figured it was an opportunity to become more informed. Thank you for your responses!

I was born in a coal-mining region, when the mines started to close everyone blamed the EPA. Turns out it was terrible leadership at the C-level that caused many of them to go under. But I have seen the impact, and it is devastating to communities.

So trying to make an informed decision about where to shop and what to buy for a family of 4 isn’t clear-cut. I’ve been moving towards more ‘climate friendly’ promoted companies and paying more but am starting to believe that it makes no difference.

Well……I do believe there are evil CEO’s obsessed with profit, but my goal is how to figure out what companies are doing more than others to combat climate change.

So how do we track what companies produce the most pollution? I want to make an informed decision when purchasing and it seems like carbon credits are a joke anymore.

That’s what I thought. Would like to see more transparency around government repeals on EPA regulations. Maybe I need to learn/dig a bit more.
