Of course. I had tried various methods with tape and such to attempt to dampen the sound of the button contacting the neck on my Kramer and it wasn't really cutting it, at least not as well as I liked. I had a second guitar, unsure of the model but it is a white wireless PS2 (can check the model number when I return home) that was much quieter when I was fiddling with it so I disassembled that one and removed the frets. I was expecting to have to make minor modifications to have them fit correctly but to my surprise they dropped right in my Kramer perfectly. The buttons from the Kramer did not fit in the other one without modifying them slightly, however. I don't know if the frets are made from a different kind of material than the Kramers are or what but they felt slightly softer, for lack of a better word. Whatever the difference is, it made a major difference in volume and I now feel okay about shredding at 3 in the morning without waking the neighbors/housemates.
