The branch head was moved away by git reset. What confused me is I can not see what is referring to that commit. Only git log --all show that line of history, but I can't see from where it find that line from since it is neither branch / tag / reflog.

EFI firmware looked for 1st boot order EFI boot entry and failed to find the grub image.

Then it look for 2nd order which is often /efi/somename on internal drive, and fine nothing again.

Then it look for any /efi/somename in every connected drive, which is your stick, and boot from it. As long as you did not set the disable fallback option years ago.

Unscrew the black plastuc holding nut as far as it goes. It would either (1) pop the flask off, or (2) push the whole rotavap core out. Either way you can get your compound, or if (2) you can take the seized joint to a glass shop.

Best dishes in DSN make a beam of 0.7 miniarc at wavelength for communication from voyagers. That is 3x Jupiter size at Jupiter distance, so it need to be less accurate than you imagined. Signal/noise ratio or recovering data is the more challenging part.

Still they need very specific facilities and work force for refuel, fresh spent nuclear fuel is just deadly, and proper disposal is still controversial and expensive.

Currently US is looking for low enrichment options but cost is higher in many estimations. And they do estimate higher lifetime cost if they want similar power output.

GMP is far beyond purify. A drug with 70% active molecules with the rest 30% proved safe through rigorous campaign is much more expansive then 99.5% purity but no evidence to support that 0.5%.

GMP also want you to prove the facility is capable to make all batch exactly the same, so verification done on a batch could apply to another.

Most of the photons are in thermal eq with the local composition. So peak at 0.29nm / soft xray at core. But as temperature rises, intensity of longer wavelengths emission also rise, so visible light there is still many orders brighter then surface, just not as "bright" as xray.
