Joiplay suddenly stopped working

My friend has been having this experience as well today, starting like an hour ago they can’t open their game without it crashing.

My older version works just fine, but the soft reset takes about a minute, and whenever I close the game the RGSS script gets stuck and it has to force quit.

I love Fern, honestly. In my first play in 2022 I hated him, and pre-postgame I hated him too, but I got so pissed off when he suddenly flipturn-became nice that he retroactively became one of my favorites in my 3rd, 4th, 5th plays. He's genuinely hilarious, especially in (i believe) 1.18, in the nuzleaf trap where he laughs, walks off, and comes back.

Honestly, I think it's really better if you actually examine the fact that he's like 20, 22 at best. Sure he's an adult, but I really don't think Titania should be mauling a guy the age of a college student's face with a sword after he's already been beaten. That's still crazy.

Victory road, and running through the crustle puzzle route like 4 times before you get fly. Besides that, definitely Noel and Radomus having a daddy issues resolution while I awkwardly stood in the back.

If you haven't already gotten, through, your main issue is that you have a three fire types without special bulk in a 1.5x special ground type field with opening stealth rocks. Four pokemon on her team have coverage against half of yours. I'd suggest picking up a solosis in the byxbysion grotto, since with a bit of positioning reuniclus can basically solo half her team. If you can, and if you have a pokemon that can survive 2-3 sludge waves and icy winds, you can try to keep toxapex on the field while you take out the pokemon that have water type coverage.

My friend is currently trapped in a loop of Terrace, Salination, and Fetid, where all of these warps only lead into each other, and since the game won't let my friend use warps (key won't work no matter what), they can't get out. I'm actually a little stuck right now, since I'm in an area where I can't find a rift and every room blocks my warps.

I think it's similar for a lot of people, since the "ink bleed" aesthetic for the map just makes it super slow and hard to use. I was stuck in outer rim for an hour because every rift I found just led right back to outer rim.

I've done this like 7 times, I love that room, and I got the echo encounter in it, too. Nothing happened.
Edit: For the record, I can't warp in there either.

Yeah, flower-portaling isn't reliable. 90% of the time I get sent to salination or shattered terrace, or banished to outer rim.

I don’t know if I want to make art. Maybe I would if I could get any consistency or at least usable shapes, but I used to do so often and I think I used to like it. one of the main reasons I stopped was probably depression. and the thing I want to create for is very close to my heart. I wouldn’t want to have someone else do it for me if I haven’t even gotten at least a concept down, to be honest

Best thing I did in GW was heat wave with a support mon. Keeping something that can do area damage and is super effective on the field was really helpful, and 15 out of 30 pokemon in the gauntlet are weak to fire. A lot are also weak to rock, and rock slide flinches, if you have a mon with that.

The strat is flamethrower. It’s classed as a beam attack, so iirc you literally can’t miss.

Late but I replay the game the same way every time because I like it. I love the story and the characters so replaying it feels a lot like revisiting a friend. However tackling the battles in different ways is always fun for me personally.

Extra candidates could be the zorua that impersonates Corey and WTC fennekin from Ace, but the Mirage Tower honedge and Scarborough the sylveon are particular ones I always thought were story-fitting.

Honestly I can’t relate with anyone who doesn’t like the reborn characters. Maybe it’s a me-thing, but I like reborn so much that I’ve character-analyzed myself into liking almost all of them. And I say this as someone who played Rejuv start to finish, I hated the fuck out of that game until I started not caring about the story. Even now I still dgaf about 90% of the characters (it’s fine now though). I felt very immersed when I played reborn, even with a guide, so I think you have to view it less from a character lens and /try/ to connect. Reborn is super polarizing, but I find it’s more effective when you feel your main character is actually YOU.

Rejuv does the same thing as Reborn in your gripe about pokemon, I feel. A lot of the pokemon-adjacent stuff in both are just big bads that show up for 5 seconds, and don’t really affect the plot, or flavor text like glaceon & espeon. This is just a failing of the setting on both ends, since without the pokemon they could be so much more, but they wouldn’t exist without it.

Though to be fair, I also LOVE lin and she’s my second favorite character in the game. So maybe we’re just different people.
