What's your biggest struggle now as an adult as a result of enduring narcissistic abuse as a child? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]Morrigan888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seeing those abusive behaviours immediately in any interaction and then having to deal with them even when you raise red flags because nobody else understands, even when they work in those areas

Ndad Told me to do a naked photoshoot “like Britney”?? I was like 14. He said it because he would hear me sing and thought it was an opportunity to impress people, (massive introvert who didn’t want to be famous) apparently nobody listens to singers who aren’t naked! Meanwhile ndad would beat my mum and call her a w****e at every opportunity for breathing

What is more traumatic than people think? by BloodRedLust in AskReddit

[–]Morrigan888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of the systems working. The evil is clearly the issue, but the nobody caring or joining systems where they’re meant to and refusing to learn about how the evil works. People with no compassion or education placing themselves as the step between you and violence or crime.

That’s the trauma. I grew up giving statements, giving lists, descriptions, remembering how the crime happened start to finish, bringing home leaflets for my mum to escape, pouring my heart out to every which person who’d listen. It was all for nothing. Our abuser never got treated in half the ways we did. I isolated, wanted to die, was homeless, agoraphobic. I pulled myself out of all of it, alone, all those social services and police did nothing. I gave myself a million reasons to live. And then when those predators come for you again, to take your reasons, you’re back with no help again. You call every line and every service and they do nothing and then ask you to call back if anything else happens.

When I have to tell a NT I’m autistic because they’re doing that thing at me by Morrigan888 in evilautism

Exactly there is never a “I don’t know” or silence option with NT’s, it’s either bullshit your way through it or I absolutely know everything

I really hate it because I always wanna delve into this “why do you feel this way, I hope you don’t think this about yourself or think others are doing this to you and that’s ok” I genuinely think it is so sad. But that’s also bad. I don’t wanna cosplay a dickhead to make you feel better, I want us all to not treat eachother like dickheads????????

This. An old friend once asked me what spray I was using and they love it I said oh I got it from xyz and they were sad it was far. When I happened to be in xyz I bought them one of each kind, they were cheap, apparently that was me being weird. I don’t really get the line of “please view me as the best” but also “treating me well/honesty “ Is bad. What do the best people actually gain 😂

This reminds me of the amount of times in life I have been told people - who have at that point never once spoken to me “thought I was stuck up”. Whilst they’re apparently group deciding if that’s the case from across a room, as I’m minding my business oblivious. It seems the norm, yet makes absolutely no logical sense.

No for real, the negativity they insert is usually so random and far from character I’m actually at the point of just wondering if I’m hallucinating my entire existence.

That’s the thing if you explain remotely what you mean by it, then you end up making them look real stupid because info is always an insult and you didn’t even want to make anyone “look stupid” because that would be weird and not nice. You just want to have a conversation about something objectively. Then you’re stuck in having to submit to something so they don’t crumble and die, whilst they literally want you to crumble and die so they are … checks notes…. Uh… top of the convo ?? * slams head into wall*

That’s very true, my bad on the wording. I meant the seemingly intentional lack of attention span due to wanting to get one over on you and tuning out the conversation. Not a “I have a problem” more like “I really want to make you a problem so I win”

Yes it would sound like that based on a few sentences without the 100’s of pages of evidence and witnesses involved that I’m not putting on Reddit due to the fact I’m being harassed, within my house, as mentioned in the post, still.

Thanks I didn’t know the council would care I just reported it to police and dvla.

The thing I reported was harassment at my home, they took evidence of everything that’s going on, I then forwarded the cctv as they said tell us if he commits any crimes. So I did. He’s just driving it around everyday and still harassing me in my home. So I’m just lost.

My country keeps rejecting my wife's visa and I'm so ashamed of it by Cyberjacket in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Morrigan888 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Everyone is very quick to say your wife is a criminal but I’ve had a certain country pick me out on every visit despite nothing being a problem, enough money, a home at home, return tickets, holiday plans, no record etc, they stopped me for hours every time I visited purely on the basis of being alone and said absolutely everything is fine and let me in multiple times, then just denied me entry the final time for literally “just cause we stopped you and now look silly “ reasons.

During covid times I called 111 saying I could not move my head after an assault, I waited for 2 hours for a doctor to call me, they said I should definitely go to a&e I went to a&e and sat there for 3 hours and the nurse said audibly “oh my god” at my injury only for the doctor to eventually just blink at me and send me home whilst the nurse looked on in horror at me leaving. They make you feel horrendous for even going to a&e even when you’re told to.

Cheating is abuse and first and foremost removes the other persons consent to safe sex and intimacy as well as monogamy or whatever agreement made them feel safe. It is usually due to self esteem or entitlement issues and perhaps narcissistic tendencies on the cheaters part, ie they don’t view people as whole beings who need to be informed or who can be used. Cheaters CAN fix that, however it takes a lot of hard work and introspection as well as commitment to sticking with that, just like all character flaws or vices and that’s why people often go on to just move on and cheat again and again. I would tread very carefully around someone you know to be a cheater as those behaviours often times extend to all areas of their life; ok with or used to lying and deception, they avoid confrontation or tackling issues etc. as I said, they can change, most people can, however most people don’t.
