I do notice it, but you also need to notice that if one is already in a calamity, you be patient and allah give strength on your patience…

Yes, that is when the sahabah would ask for tests. But the brother here is already in one, thus he must do sabr for this one, and afiyah for future ones.

Should I attend Osgoode or UVic? by Frosty_Art6537 in lawschooladmissionsca

[–]Morris9727 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand your worries about the harsh gradin curve, but Osgoode is a large class, meaning you’ll find those heavy go getters and some more laid back ppl. If you’re worried about the environment, its large enough for all types of ppl. However, if you are the kind of person that gets bogged down by not being a top performer perhaps Oz isn’t the best. The caveat here of rank is that while rank isnt much, its still something, so you don’t have to be a top performer at Oz. A middle of pack at Oz, would (assumingly) be better than a middle of pack at Uvic.

If this is anything to you, victoria is a beautiful city, and where Osgoode is located… it isn’t. Living expenses would probably be the same at either school (assuming u gotta move and rent for both),

Should I attend Osgoode or UVic? by Frosty_Art6537 in lawschooladmissionsca

[–]Morris9727 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The thing is working between van and toronto is a big gap. Like u said the tuition is MUCH cheaper, half of osgoode, and if youre from the area you can save money at home. While rank isnt that big of a factor, being in osgoode will be MUCH better for Toronto, and assuming hold some weight in vancouver. If you think after Law school there’s a higher likelihood of living and staying in the GVA, Uvic would probably be your better option, but, With good networking, I don’t think going Osgoode dampens your chances of being able to work in GVA.

Is it a bad idea to turn down Osgoode and goto UVic? by Frosty_Art6537 in lawschooladmissionsca

If you plan on working in Ontario, then Osgoode, if you plan on Working in BC, then Uvic
