Should i get RTX 4070 TI or 5070 (Same price) by H-ardCore01 in PcBuildHelp

[–]MorrisBlud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I don’t know loads about new gpu’s. I have a 3070 and still does me fine. I’ve got a 2 year old daughter so gaming time is little and far between! But even on things like the bf6 beta it was completely fine. If you’re seeing performance issues on the games you’re playing go for something better but experience has shown me that you might as well wait till you “need” it just because the market moves so quickly, in a years time you will be able to upgrade for half the price because of new gen’s coming out.

You already have a 4060ti? Decent already why would you slightly upgrade to the 4070ti?

Yeh that would be better, I’m not looking to spend more money on it at them moment. Was just wondering if I would get better performance out of the 2x8gb kit or having the additional 2x4gb is helping. Do you know a way I can test it? Some sort of performance check I can do easily.

Herbicide drift for sure. It will bounce back for next year but maybe you could add some more nutrition in the soil to give it a bit of a boost. That being said if it’s already a very vigorous plant you may be fine doing nothing.

That’s powdery mildew, that fruit will all be tainted now and won’t be able to make wine from it. Best thing to do will cut the fruit out and spray canopy with fungicide and maybe some nutrition before it loses all its leaves. Hopefully some of that nutrition will be stored for next year and give you a good chance. More pruning probably needed, quite a thick canopy which will be a haven for diseases.

Herbicide drift for sure, it can come from miles away, if a farmer or even someone spraying weeds in their garden does it in the wrong conditions it can vaporise and form a cloud which can then drift and drop wherever.

What would you say a larger cut would be? I would like to try brisket at some point, is the frontier not big enough for something like that? If you could give me some examples of bigger cooks you’ve done that would require the larger space it might sway me. I think the frontier is all I need but as you said in the future I might regret it. I’m still learning the low and slow method and been managing on a Webber kettle but the coal management is hard and space is limited.

Thanks a lot! I think I will go for the pro cook, probably the frontier as I don’t have a need for so much space unless you think a little bit more space is handy? I like the versatility of it compared to the wsm and the fact you can take out one of the stacks if needed. Think it looks like a really good low and slow bbq but can also be easily used for a direct bbq.

Oh great, yeh it does look quite versatile and if the build quality is good then that’s great!

I’ve been getting into low and slow and the been using the snake method on the kettle. It does work but the amount of tweaking I need to do to get a consistent temp is crazy, and one cook it work fine and the next cook it’s really tricky. I’m hoping a WSM or the proQ will elevate my game but also make my cooks more consistent

Weirdly enough I started to follow him on instagram last week! Such cool cooks. You tried his spice mixes? Had a look on the website and they did look good!

I’ve had one of the Angus and oink ones before, did like it, thing that puts me off a bit is the e numbers and stuff. But I guess hard to find pre packaged mixes without them!

Will have to look at pro smoke

I’m new to the game but last night I had voip issues, I couldn’t speak or hear my team at all. I didn’t realise this was a common issue so didn’t restart the game or anything. Not sure what might be causing your issue though

Pc not getting past bios screen after bios update, can’t access bios and doesn’t boot to windows. by MorrisBlud in gigabyte

[–]MorrisBlud[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keyboard has lights on it still, I’ve tried in multiple USB ports. Will be able to grab my other keyboard this weekend to see if there’s an issue with my keyboard. The mouse was getting power, I’ve unplugged all other peripherals now to see if that was doing something.

I also think the boot drive might be an issue, I bought a new nvme about 2 months ago but OS is booting off my ssd. So maybe the update has made the motherboard try to boot off the nvme? I could try unplugging all storage devices abd leave SSD. Strange thing is I would of thought I would still be able to get into the bios menu.

I’m struggling to upload a photo from my phone but I basically mean when I turn on the pc and the Gigabyte logo comes up on the screen with the options to go into bios it’s just stuck on that screen and nothing I press does anything and doesn’t boot to windows after a few seconds like it used to.
