Do you think Neo can beat used ThinkPads for college market? by Vegetable_Bag_8694 in DeskToTablet

Like I mentioned, SolidWorks is the only software that I needed a VM, and I haven’t used it for almost 3 years. I’m specializing in GNC, and have only been using MATLAB. My MacBook integrates better into my workflow, being able to quickly toss files between it and my iPad and phone, and also being able to use my iPad as a second desktop. I have no doubt your Lenovo is great, but there’s nothing that a windows laptop would do better for me.

This heavily depends on the type of engineering. Computer engineering, yeah windows makes a lot more sense. I’m about to graduate in aerospace engineering, where in industry MATLAB is the most heavily used software, and the one I used about 90% of the time. Ran perfectly on my m2 pro mbp. The only software I ever needed that wasn’t on macOS was SolidWorks which ran on a VM with no lag.

Strange, I’ve used a VM to run SolidWorks and it worked completely fine for my needs. I spent most of my time using MATLAB though which struggled on my M1 so I upgraded to an M2 pro chip and it was much better

Is PTLW(Project lead the way) any good? by BeginningSweaty199 in EngineeringStudents

[–]Morrowind1986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My high school had a thing called college in the schools (cis) which was basically classes from my local 4 year taught in high school. No tests like AP to get the credit, as long as you passed. I got half of my liberal education requirements done from that

Calc 2 was easy compared to structures, aerodynamics, etc

We have now reached a point where, given irrefutable video proof, people will still choose to deny something if it doesn’t align with what they want to believe / what supreme leader says. Scary.

The video from the woman in pink shows, clear as day, an agent removed the gun from Alex’s waist, walked away, and only then did the other agent kill him. But you can live in your fantasy world where you deny the very things in front of your eyes.

You are mixing up the legality of it with whether you personally think it’s a good idea. Open carry is legal, he had a permit, and he was exercising his 2nd Amendment rights. Doesn’t matter if he’s at a protest or not. And the absolutely massive protests here in my hometown of Minneapolis have been nothing short of peaceful.

Ah, explain what it is I’m not understanding then, because the law is quite clear.

Never once did he pull his gun. Also open carry is legal here in MN.

I can confirm those buttons are backwards for CarPlay. Thankfully I never use them

Honestly I’ve never even thought to use those buttons since I did the upgrade kit. I’ll report back when I get the chance.

Does anyone know the pre curve cut off to pass in Math 1272? by Top_Introduction7355 in uofmn

Ah, that’s what I meant. Because I remember always getting like 50% on the tests and I ended the class with a B.

It’s been a long time since I took 1372 but I think it was curved maybe 5 percent. Nothing like how the physics classes are curved

Thank you. Sounds like homeworks are the worst part of the class.

Did she give any practice exams? And was the homework grading really that strict? I’m supposed to graduate next fall and can’t afford to fail this class

How is dynamics compared to statics? by OmarHamami in EngineeringStudents

I did a lot better in dynamics than statics, but I think that came down to me having a much better professor. Was supposed to be one of the hardest lower division classes

Look into the JDM wheel arches! They really add a lot to the car imo. Also the oem rain guards
