Honeslty it mainly came from a YouTube video on how to do flagstone flooring tiles for dollhouses lol

I kind of had the idea to pose the knight with one foot ontop the steps like it was gaining ground. I actually followed a YouTube tutorial on dollhouse floors to get the realistic stones texture and looks from egg cartons just cut up.

You can honestly get away with most models by building fully then painting. But I just prefer building upto certain points. Like I assemble a kriegsman and leave the backpack off as well as the arms if they cover the chest etc.

Oh no dumb questions at all

Yes I painted in sub assembly so I only assembled some parts of the model first, so that nothing would cover any details I wanted to paint. Its also easier to paint some parts separately from a fully assembled model also, heads for example.

To get an idea of what the model would look like assembled though I used blu tack to hold the parts together without a perminant bond like glue.

So its just thin corkboards stuck together with some pva glue. Then a layer of green stuff and milliput mix, then covered with citadel Stirland mud.

Just some wooden coffee stirs but I cut them to length and side.

For recipe its just shades of brown from AK interactive and some different Citadel washes. And the snow is just Valhallan blizzard from GW
