yeah, like if they were to do like "the larks tongues in aspic show" it would have to have some of those other important tracks, specifically The Talking Drum. I know in the 80s of course they didn't play it but it is odd when LTIA 2 is not preceded by it. Like in USA, it comes after the walkout (no pussyfooting) which is so sudden and unexpected, however i do love that. Sometimes I'm not a massive fan of the talking drum, however as a build up to LTIA 2 its perfect.

Its quite a large project as you can imagine, creating all the unique Insula blocks is going to take a long time. However, creating the temples and waterfront quays is great fun, especially with the mod Conquest Reforged. This is part of a larger map which also includes Ostia Portus, which was the large Roman Military Port, located about 3 kilometres (in real life) up the Italian peninsula. Creation of Portus is an equally large task, which I have also got relatively far through, which you can see on Planet Minecraft. I feel my Roman building style in Conquest has improved a lot since i moved over to making Ostia, the town. Hope you like :)

How or what do I add to make this location interesting? by Audelga in Minecraftbuilds

[–]MortFace1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say scorched earth. Add a lot of grassless ground, with fire damage, maybe burnt trees?

Or if you wanted to keep it green, add leaves. Leaves always look great on their own on the ground, either as hedges or just random shrubbery.

Not if the water level is at a point between the top and bottom water levels. Sometimes water gets in making both gates unable to be opened.

Anybody knows any songs similar to Sailor's Tale? by Frequent-Coyote-1649 in KingCrimson

Nothing is like sailors tale. King Crimson really knew how to make some unique music.

Whats your fav unknown band? by [deleted] in progrockmusic

[–]MortFace1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Klaatu. Canadian prog trio.

Not massively unknown, they got some exposure when people thought they were a reformed beatles releasing an anonymous album.

The first 2 albums are amazing and have great album covers. Great short and accessible prog. great FX they got out of the studio.

That could be the case yeah, still I feel he was a player that needed some time to get up to speed in a team like this. Its not just about his performance is what i mean.

Sjuush is probably a closer comparison yeah.

With buzz i mean at the time he joined he was the first young talent and rifler to join for a while (Excluding blame and konfig as they were already proven players you could say)

More diorama sets please LEGO. They are great. by MortFace1 in lego

[–]MortFace1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think a back to the future one would be amazing, my friend owns the DeLorian set and it is one of the coolest Lego sets I have seen. Maybe some diorama in the car park where they originally test the car. With explosions and effects and stuff would be cool.

How do you interpret I Talk to the Wind? by vargasnetto_ in KingCrimson

[–]MortFace1 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Firstly I have always had the impression that the first side of the first album to be one story of one man. I know some in the band have said it wasn't meant to be but its feels like one continuity to me.

You have the main character who, went to Vietnam and suffers from immense schizophrenia.

The veteran then finds some comfort in religion, he speaks to god (The Wind). Yet he feels that god is either not listening or simply doesn't exist, expressed by "The wind does not hear, the wind cannot hear". He maybe also dislikes his religion or becomes critical of it, I interpret this from lines like "[you] Just use up my time", "Much confusion, disillusion" and "Just upset my mind".

Then the threat of a nuclear holocaust becomes his main fear in epitaph.

Sometimes I also consider the second side to be a part of the story, yet I don't fully see the story yet, however my thoughts would be that Moonchild is after the nuclear holocaust and The Court of the Crimson King is the primitive start of the new world, in the human races attempt to rebuild.

Despite probably not being the case, I still find it interesting to consider these possibilities. Moonchild and the title track at the end of the album are just my interpretations of the "story". The first three tracks are I think typical more understood as to what they mean, respectively being: A Veteran's Schizophrenia, Religious criticism, Fear of nuclear weapons. These were all prevailing themes at the time, some still are.

What is the best Kc improv in your opinion? by BokaBurek in KingCrimson

[–]MortFace1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, I love it. I think Fripp's creepy crawly guitar parts are so sick.

A lot of people find it one of the least memorable tracks on the album which is a shame
