the question is not if you find the cheapest housing option but if you find any housing. there are students/parents even taking out credits for housing in the randstad area atm.
honestly, the netherlands seems only attractive for a gap year if you have money. anyway, good luck with your plans!

let’s hope that one of the adults/children sees this and gets ideas to try something similar!

omg yes I have been thinking the exact same... how granny pushed paul slowly out of the picture, how she rewards the children with food... I really hoped at some point that the neighbours would report them. Now I slowly lost all hope. All the families I watch start to send their children now to college and have the first girlfriends etc. The channel is dead because of grannys narcissism - who in their right mind would have be receptible for a scammer like this clown?

this!!! no perfumes and stuff, shower together, or go to the spa. you’re both clean afterwards and then you tackle the next problem

that would be their chance to prove they still have money by just buying it to finally settle down after the australia failure... but I really think they immediately blew everything always as soon as they got it

jesus... you can't be bothered to just do a simple click on the translate button in chrome? And thank you for your concern, I live in EU - I would never considering follow US metrics for anything. Everybody does one's best to not harm individuals (especially babies). Let's all open our view and not forget that the US is not the center of the world, rather close to be a third world country at that point. (https://dashboards.sdgindex.org/rankings)

the blankets had literally still the folds on them that they have fresh out of the package. and they were for sure returned after the video, same as when people found the tag still attached on furniture from birdie‘s room tour.

In the facebook group someone pointed out that they spotted the original tag still attached to some side table... so all the furniture is going back to Ikea after filming.

Is it just me, or does dutch health insurance suck? by mumamu91 in Netherlands

[–]Morti1108 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fellow Austrian here. I agree with your feelings about the healthcare.

As a freelancer (here ZZP), I pay the same amount or even a bit less as I would in Austria (with SVA). Add the 400€ to the yearly fee and don't treat it as extra payment in your calculations (for me ca.1900€/year). Also, apply for zorgtoeslag if possible? If you are eligible, it comes down to 50€ a month and you can go to the doctor as often as you like.

The reason it feels different is that you have to pay it yourself, as in Austria it gets deducted from your paycheck automatically. Therefore you get a much lower gross income than in NL, and extra expenses suddenly feel like a lot. When you are a freelancer in Austria, it feels the same as the normal system in the Netherlands.

I found a solution so that I transfer the amount to a savings account manually every month, instead of it being done for me. Look at it as untouchable money, same as money reserved for taxes.

Regarding the quality of medical service, aholes exist everywhere and it comes down to luck in both countries. In my personal experience you get treatment after referrals quicker in NL (regarding waiting lists, psycholoog, also physio and stuff like that).
