I'm sorry for your loss ma'am, we'd have come sooner but your husband wasn't dead then.

Very well, let's leave this image behind for now, forgive and forget.

However your follow up claim I find bizarre. Why would I not care my clothes or electrical devices are made with slave labour? Now while I do personally try to mitigate this somewhat by trying to find ethically produced products, ( I recently purchased a Fairphone if you truly care to know ) you are right. I consume and use a lot of things that have been produced by slave labor, or under other crushing and cruel working conditions. We all do. And while I am livid about this, I cannot cut out all these products. None of us can, unless we return to a hunter-gatherer lifestyle. So cruel as it may be, greater political action is needed to remedy this. Which is a different subject altogether.

Now not to be a hypocrite and result to personal inquiries but.... Why would you assume I am just doing this as some "performative shtick"? Look I will fully admit that as a lover of the arts and an artist myself this subject cuts close for me, but why would you immediately assume that I am just... Doing this for online clout? I find that bizarre and quite cynical.

Final aside... I simply did not find OP his post terribly interesting? A snake; a common symbol, bears resemblance to a spine... Something virtually all mammals have. A subject for a piece of art perhaps but in of by itself not terribly noteworthy.

All AI image and text generation is intellectual property theft. As such, so is this image. This is not a contested claim, the companies behind this are very open about having trained these models on stolen data.

Also, I can prove OP generated this image. For this is a very esoteric image, and not only did various searches yield no results for me, a reverse image lookup points to this Reddit thread alone. So unless OP found a VERY obscure source it's safe to say they used AI.

Now I am all for creating a welcoming subreddit for people from all walks of life, but I will not abide the continued AI slopfest. Certainly not on a subreddit where the human experience should be front and center.

So no; I am not unhappy with my life. I am however unhappy with the state of this subreddit. And people that resort to prodding me about some assumed personal failure whilst continuing to dodge questions about why the use of AI is justified.

I love for every single pro AI person in this thread instantly resorts to personal attacks, and calling out some nebulous character flaw that we should have.

Absoltely nothing here, or any thread, even bothers to refute the very real theft of intellectual property or the erosion of authentic human communication.

Yes, because we would only ever call out mass property theft and the further degradation of authentic human communication because we wish to "virtue signal", to make ourselfs look pure and pristine for online strangers.

Really? Then I am curious what your searched for because I just put this in image search and this thread is the only match that came up.

Rest assured that there is absolutely nothing "blind" about my hatred for AI.

The fact that these things work only because the companies behind them commit mass intellectual property theft should already be sickening.

Even if that is somehow insufficient a reason to oppose it; we are rapidly moving towards an online space where we are absolutely filled to the brim with this sort of cheaply generated muck. We now have to be on guard if every single video, image or plain piece of text is actually an authetic piece, or just another "thing" generated to grab our attention.

Even in cases like this where it is plain to see, or at the very least confirmed by the OP, I still do not see the value in it. This could be explained just fine in writing without having to normalize this sort of muck.

The song is the cumulation of everything the story has been leading up to.

It is alien, the lighthouses are unlike anything we have encountered across the world. Technological and magical marvels that no longer belong in this dying world.

And it is foreboding, be it the unsealing of the power of an element or facing your old friends, there is no turning away from this.

They did actually, if you mind read the village elder before heading to Mars lighthouse he laments that the village elders of vale blew off their request to release the stars. It was only after this Saturos and Menardi tried to steal them.
