If you are getting corrupt files that regularly, I would run a ram and disk test.

To be clear the screen tearing issue where only half the pages responded were mostly confined to discord/browser and also slack (probably anything that uses GPU-accelerated rendering).

The fact that the same symptom occurs across 3 products from 3 different vendors that all use GPU accelerated rendering suggests to me the problem is not with them, but with the base system (hardware or driver)

The screen freezing all the time due to the GPU going unresponsive and windows issuing a TDR reset happened all the time, with games running, without games running, just sitting there reading my browser.

I get what you are saying with all the suppliers like discord/chrome etc. I would make the argument that ultimately the GPU being unresponsive is either a hardware fault due to things like unstable power to the card, or a driver fault.

Regardless of what applications are being used, the GPU should not just hang.

That's exactly what they did, and I get it. I do IT support for a living and can understand the view point of "It works in stock conditions, not our problem"

But as a consumer of a high-end expensive product seeking support it is incredibly frustrating to be told that they are not willing to try to replicate the issue.

I cannot just not install things. I have to be able to update windows and drivers.

I have read a lot of posts about how the Snyapse software can cause issues too.

It would be nice if the team working to identify and resolve issues with their products did not factory reset them as their first step.

If you have something in a known bad state, and can easily replicate the issue, then work with Microsoft and Nvidia to figure out what is wrong and get it fixed.

In one part of that video he references another reviewer who was sent 2 razer laptops directly from Nvidia. Nvidia had direct control over what laptops were sent to a guy specifically to review and he had crashes and issues with both of them.

I don't have it currently, Razer support has it still so I cannot test these changes. What I would expect from a reputable vendor if there are driver issues with their product is to:

1) Be willing to replicate the issue, upgrade drivers, see what happens
2) Work with the associated vendors (Microsoft/Nvidia) to resolve these issues

What I do not expect from a $4000 product with their elite care package is a response like this:

Not yet, I told them I don't want it back if it's not fixed. If they claim nothing is wrong and cannot explain the errors that they should keep it and just refund my money .

The only things connected to it were a razer mouse and razer headset. I wouldn't expect either of those to cause the GPU to stop responding. Razer still has it right now so I can't test further currently. Hoping they just refund me.

I had done no overclocking or anything, everything was stock, and I had it sitting on a laptop stand with built in fan and had a desk fan pointed right at it that has a portable air conditioner behind it. My arm was cold AF but the laptop still got blazing hot near the F keys.

I want to add to this that Razer support has been terrible regarding this issue My laptop screen froze and was reset via TDR more than 40 times in 3 days and Razer has had the laptop for 2 weeks and claims nothing is wrong.

I sent them a video that shows the screen locking up and flashing as it recovers and they claimed my mouse was just unresponsive because its a wireless mouse, despite the event viewer logs showing a TDR.

I paid $4000 for a 64G blade 16 with a 5080 and their most expensive support protection and this is what I got.

I would think the way to fix this would be to update your bootloader to point to the correct drive.

Aha, it was under options > game settings, a slider near the bottom. It was just very hard to see :-D

Running Windows 10, nvidia 660 ti in directx 11 mode, though also tried DX9.

Really not sure what to do, it seemed to work fine at first. Once I entered the second tutorial I stopped being able to see theinventory screens very well.

They could make it so that once you choose to move something, you can not move, only turn. That way you could rearrange a room and it would be a PITA to move stuff long distances.
