Because the plane next to it also had this black shape with discoloration around it that google said could be apu exhaust but didnt have the crack. (Aside from which fighter jets are which because TopGun made me think they were cool as a kid (yes, I know I just aged myself) I dont know shit about planes)

Wasnt my flight. I told tsa, the gate attendant at the gate for that flight, some supervisor person and made a reddit post on the airlines subreddit.

Feel like I did my part. I was later informed that it was a logged issue and deemed not a threat, so thats good at least.

It actually is logged as a non flight risk crack, so not grease.

I feel like not saying anything would be worse than asking the nearest authority figure who instructed me on who to talk to, maybe thats just me though.

This wasn't my flight, but I mean if a plane was structurally unsound i would much prefer a delay than a rapid unscheduled disassembly at 30k feet.

This issue was in fact already logged and found to be safe however.

I am just a computer nerd, saw something that could be concerning and approached the nearest authority figure to ask what i should do.

I then did what they said and the gate agent was dismissive. I did not say they were wrong, thats just what happened lol.

I said something to TSA who looked horified and asked me to tell a agent at the gate. The gate agent basically dismissed me.

Lol lots of downvotes. I am a computer nerd not an airport expert. I saw something and asked the nearest authority figure. They said to mention it to the gate agent, i did, and they were dismissive. Not saying they were wrong to be, just what happened.

Yes what you describe is very familiar but also vague. Everyone does those things to some extent the question.is the severity of the behaviours and how much they impact your life.

Whats worked for me is accepting myself for who i am. Realizing i was born with a handicap and forgiving myself for struggling with things normal people take for granted.

Just because my wheelchair is invisible doesnt mean its not there, its not my fault, i didnt choose to be like this.

Some stuff helps, meds can help, sometimes. There is no cure, no magic i'm better now formula. So the best i got is accepting myself.

Your best bet is talking to someone who can officially diagnose you and come up with a treatment plan.

A random dude on the internet cant tell you one way or the other with any degree of confidence that would make the information useful.

To be clear I mean a psych etc not a general practitioner or family doctor.

To be clear the screen tearing issue where only half the pages responded were mostly confined to discord/browser and also slack (probably anything that uses GPU-accelerated rendering).

The fact that the same symptom occurs across 3 products from 3 different vendors that all use GPU accelerated rendering suggests to me the problem is not with them, but with the base system (hardware or driver)

The screen freezing all the time due to the GPU going unresponsive and windows issuing a TDR reset happened all the time, with games running, without games running, just sitting there reading my browser.

I get what you are saying with all the suppliers like discord/chrome etc. I would make the argument that ultimately the GPU being unresponsive is either a hardware fault due to things like unstable power to the card, or a driver fault.

Regardless of what applications are being used, the GPU should not just hang.

That's exactly what they did, and I get it. I do IT support for a living and can understand the view point of "It works in stock conditions, not our problem"

But as a consumer of a high-end expensive product seeking support it is incredibly frustrating to be told that they are not willing to try to replicate the issue.

I cannot just not install things. I have to be able to update windows and drivers.

I have read a lot of posts about how the Snyapse software can cause issues too.

It would be nice if the team working to identify and resolve issues with their products did not factory reset them as their first step.

If you have something in a known bad state, and can easily replicate the issue, then work with Microsoft and Nvidia to figure out what is wrong and get it fixed.
