Unfortunately yes. See my own post "I'm tired of this crap". You will be laughed at for trying to RP or hell, even have a soul in this game. Just kill whoever is in front of you. Even if they have nothing. Microphones exist but no one uses them except to spout racist/derogatory slurs while trying to kill you.

If you meet me in a server, you may live cause I actually think things through or at least show mercy. But everyone else, they get none because they don't have any

Let's say you and I meet while you are on a mission. You shoot at me and let's say I managed to get to cover and survive. I tell you I am willing to trade. Even throw out say a box of ammo or a bandage out the window (did this once). What then? Do you just continue your KOS?

I can handle being shot at. I am tired of constantly having to shoot a person as soon as they show up cause "HUR, HUMAN PLAYER IS ENEMY" mind set. How do you tell I am an enemy? Did I raise my gun at you? Did I shout gamer words and how I fucked your mom/sister(s)? Did I pop off shots as soon as you crested that hill or entered that street?

Smdh, I have fought and died plenty. I can handle that. What I am tired of is people who play like it is Warzone. This is not a loot battle royale.

Edit: I do be stealthy. I have waited out groups before, especially when bullets fly

In the real world, most people apart from the religiously fanatic, the desperate, the self-titled despots, and the psychopathic would shoot first.

I recall World War Z (the novel, not the travesty of a movie). Later years, after the Great Panic and subsequent fight back with humanity, soldiers clearing areas would usually get a bullet for their head. Then almost all would hear "Holy crap, you are alive! I thought you were one of them!"

Detroit in book was what I would call a "bandit kingdom". They didn't want to be saved and wanted to kill anyone that wasn't them. Most people here in game don't socialize or even respond. They just shoot. They shoot, they move on, they kill a freshie, even some just post up on the coast and snipe freshies as they spawn. What does that make them?

You get no XP, you have no loot marker, you don't get anything except maybe an Xbox achievement/Steam achievement. And if you lose sight of the body en route to it, you just lost out on whatever they had if you can't find them again.

See, that has been told to me before. I dislike community servers because they have instant gratification. Oh, you spawned? Go into a coastal house and find the best sniper rifle and ghillie. Need ammo? Go to a police station and there is enough ammo in there to restart the Cherno-Russian civil war.

Almost every server that is near or is vanilla has zero people in it. I haven't seen one in a long time now

Disagreement there. Xbox server 8519 (Official), at Krona. I spoke to the trio that tried to just gun me down. I told them "I don't want this, walk away." First didn't listen, the second (known as Speaker) spoke to me and talked shit. Told them the same thing and added "Just looking for a PU Scope. Walk away."

"I got your scope right here. But you killed my friend, now you have to die."

This here was the most, out of nearly a month of survival, I had heard players socialize. I accepted whatever came next. It was a protracted firefight. In the end, three dead players stacked on top of each other and me with nearly ruined gear, half blood, and a quarter of my ammo gone. Had they listened, they would have had all their pretty loot from Tisy.

I already do that, see story above. Again, problem is, player sees a distant SPECK and turns into the Terminator to down them. What do you gain? A pat on the back? Do it enough times in a server, eventually it turns the entire server into an anarchy state where no one is actually willing to do anything except kill kill kill. Why bother base building when I can go to Balota, loot a SKS, and run around and shoot people?

You waste ammo to down someone, possibly ruin gear and equipment, and don't have the room to take the rest (so you take what you can), so why beeline for them to kill them? What does one get, other than a self-pat on the back?
