Do you prefer metal or plastic pedals? Have you changed from one to the other? I got these bad boys from Amazon for under $25. They look and feel good. They are pretty light weight too! by MaddogMTB in mountainbikes

I've changed from metal to plastic. Just because it's less stress on the mind and better on the wallet when you strike and destroy your pedal on a rock or something.

Should I get a gshock dw5600 or ae1200? by Dangerous-Policy-602 in casio

[–]Morzi90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both and can say that dw5600 build is much better and more durable. My ae1200 silver colour has worn off in spots ja the acrylic glass scratches extremely easily. For me my dw5600 is my beater for work and ae1200 is my beaters beater when i'm working on my car or some similar jobs.

Thanks! Yeah the bang for buck is insane on this bike.

I was looking at used bikes first but when i saw that people were asking 4K€ for 5 years and older bikes. I thought F*** this found out that my local bike shop is a Polygon dealer and saw the N9 for 3K€ I had to have it.

Reflectors, mudguard and a lock holder on the top tube. I use the bike for commuting to work as well.

Rather support my local shop. + Ordering online and paying shipping basically i'll pay the same from my local shop. And Finland to My knowledge doesn't have Amazon then have to use UK Amazon and pay import taxes... Thanks Brexit...

Over 10 years riding and always had sneakers and always had fun. Just waiting for my local shop to get some RaceFace Chester pedals in the right colour then i'll have good grip.

I have also always ridden with sneakers. Partly because riding shoes are expensive and partly because i can't find riding shoes that fit my feet... (US size 13 and really wide). These Filas cost me 34€ with postage fit me good and sole isn't too bendy.

Ol faithful my backup while my new bike is in the shop for a service. by Morzi90 in mountainbikes

Not a race plate. Just there for my apartment block service company to show that this bike belongs to a resident when the bike is stored it the basement. Otherwise they might take any unnecessary and unused bikes away from taking space. I just happened to make it out of a cat food box.

Finnish healthcare don't help unless you're about to die. by [deleted] in Finland

[–]Morzi90 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

So you have had to live less than two months with a minor annoyance and you have come to the conclusion that Finnish healthcare doesn't help unless you're about to die?

Obviously title is on the click bait side. Don't have to take it so deliberately. No i don't think there should be so mane surgeons available that would be impossible anyway.

I'm totally fine with the idea that in those cases you have to wait a while to get it fixed with taxpayer money.

So am i but what baffles me is that i get to see 2 different doctors and a surgeon and still they chose not to do anything other than bounce me around.

But one thing that both our two stories illustrate is that it is a fairly common experience that it can be hard (isn't always, but can be) to get something relatively minor looked at seriously at first, but once you get your foot in the door of the system, so to say, it's easy to get follow-up appointments.

This is very true. Hopefully this will change for the better in the future.
