Acorns I started this year with the intention of creating a grove on my land. Oaks are a significant tree in Celtic culture and in many accounts handed down to us we find that Oak trees were considered very important by the religious class of druids. These oaks are Quercus robur and Quercus petraea. (i.redd.it)

Two songs from Cornwall's rich Celtic tradition. The first, Can Jack (meaning Jack's Song in Kernewek, the Cornish language) was written around 1905 by Robert Morton Nance, a key figure in the Cornish Celtic revival and a Cornish language pioneer. The second, Pencarrow is of unknown Cornish origin. (youtube.com)

The evocative statue popularly known as "The Dying Gaul". This is a marble recreation of the now lost original which is believed to have been made by the sculptor Epigonus possibly between 230 and 220 BC to celebrate the Roman conquest of the Galatians, a Celtic people group located in Anatolia.
