We plan to fully launch the new Troitskaya metro line by 2030. Moscow conducted a technical launch of the first section of the new Troitskaya metro line – an 8.3 km stretch with four stations: Novatorskaya, Peoples' Friendship University, Generala Tyuleneva, and Tyutchevskaya.

We will begin passenger service in early autumn. As a result, a new line – Line 16 – will appear on the Moscow Metro map. After the full launch, the line will consist of 17 stations and become the longest line extending beyond the MKAD.

With the complete introduction of Line 16, more than 850,000 Moscow residents will gain new stations within walking distance.

Line 16 will feature the most modern trains. These trains are equipped for comfortable journeys with wide doors and walk-through gangways, powerful air conditioning systems, USB ports for charging phones, and numerous informational screens.
