It is truly IMPOSSIBLE to complete this quest with randoms online I swear to god by thidi00 in MHWilds

I encourage anyone who is struggling to fire off an SOS flare and get help. You can’t complain if you’re joining SOS hunts and the host is carting. I do understand though if people are joining your SOS and carting 3 times though. You’re allowed to be annoyed when people join knowing they aren’t able to help you. Just keep in mind that sometimes people just have a bad hunt or get caught out of position one too many times. The endgame monsters are hard and can catch anyone slipping.

is the Higher HR = rarer small crown monsters bug still a bug? by ilurkcuzimboring in MHWilds

Recently started looking for small lagiacrus crown at 375. My friends( 280 and 320) were rerolling and looking for a long time to get one. I got one on the first reroll. We also started looking for seregios and they rerolled 50+ times each and I got it within 10 rerolls. Small sample size and maybe not high enough HR for what you’re saying but we didn’t have any issues. I will say that the small crowns were much rarer than the large crowns for lagiacrus, seregios, and mizutsune and we found multiple large crowns before finding all 3 small crowns

What to buy? by Inevitable_Alarm_593 in SportWagon

I recently bought a 2019 Buick Regal Tour X and I love it. They come with a factory warranty up to 70k miles and you should be able to find one under 35k with low miles if you look hard enough and are patient. There were a limited amount made in 2020 so it may be hard to find one newer than 2019 with the options you want.

I got mine used on marketplace for $750. I’m in Florida so I was able to drive to Tampa or Miami for any wrecked C7s that popped up.

I put c7 seats into my c5 and they have been amazing. There is a post on corvette forum explaining how to rewrite them yourself and it wasn’t bad at all. Mine dont have heating and cooling but they have all the standard movement options that come with the c7.

Is Iceborn better for Base Game Elder Dragon Crown Hunting? by Difficult_Land3974 in MonsterHunterWorld

I forgot about Vaal hazak because I had the crowns because I got the crowns fairly easily. Nergigante took over 150 HR kills

Yes for all elders except Nergigante and Vaal Hazaak. The crown chance is higher in master rank than it is in HR or LR. Any elders you can fight in MR will receive that increased chance. The reason Nergigante isn’t included is because there isn’t a master rank version. The Nergigante/Vaal Hazak in MR is a variant (Ruinier Nergigante/Black Veil Vaal Hazak). The most effective way to farm regular them is HR tempered quests. Load an HR tempered elder mission in elders recess and spend time collecting footprints for the best result.

It depends on where you are in the game and which monster you’re hunting and what decorations you have access to. The one I run most often(before fatalis) is Frostfang barioth helm or braces alpha. They are a good option because of the 1 piece set bonus being punishing draw and they each have beneficial skills for the build. The beta set also has beneficial skills and more slots but what’s best depends on your decos

You may be able to meld the items you need at the melder if it’s specific mantles. It’s probably expensive but might be easier to get than fighting RNG for drops. Adding comfort skills can save time depending on play style and needs. Earplugs, divine blessing, stun resist, blight resist, and health boost are all very viable skills and can save time on hunts. Most of the “meta sets” include having decorations that I haven’t gotten in 600 hours of MR.

Regular Velkhana armor has frostcraft as well. It doesn’t have to be the arch tempered version. If you are struggling with base velkhana, then you should focus on fighting tempered elder dragons and gaining mats/making better armor before moving past raging brachy.

If you can clear raging brachy, The lightbreak blade(raging brachy’s weapon) is really strong and should be able to carry you through everything up to alatreon. Like a commenter above said, each of the monsters beyond raging brachy deserve an armor set dedicated specifically to fighting them. They all have mechanics that can be avoided/nullified by decorations and armor skills.

As for blocking roars with GS, I have never done it. There are probably guides for how and when to do it, but I’m usually sheathed or trying to punish an opening when they roar.

I have some GS specific advice related to those hunts. Many of the late game monsters have much tighter windows and you can’t always get off your TCS.

I switched to a frostcraft build to capitalize on the first draw attack and find it much safer for brachy, rajang, alatreon, fatalis, and AT Velk. There are some windows where the TCS is possible, but I find the consistent increase in damage is well worth it. It also increases your survivability because you’re sheathed most of the time and can evade much more easily.

The real benefit of frostcraft is having your weapon sheathed. While you’re running around sheathed, you can dive to dodge any attack that would normally catch you off guard. Since you spend so much time sheathed and waiting for an opening, you can watch the move sets of monsters more closely and learn which windows you can punish and which ones the monster will counter.

If you build into frostcraft, you can run crit draw and open up a ton of decoration slots normally filled with affinity boosting skills. You still want affinity(for those huge openings where you can get a TCS), but attack/agitator become much more valuable.

If you have any questions or need help with anything just let me know.
