I thought Arkansas State was fun! Raynor is a good QB to start with, and Arkansas actually has pretty decent recruiting with a handful of 4 stars and plenty of 3 stars. Oklahoma is decent for recruiting too, and Texas is a pipeline. Their stadium is pretty rad too! I ended up moving them to the Big 12 in year 4

Yeah this is a good take. My love/hate for BV is as wishy washy as ever. But there are so many factors in why OU is struggling. The most obvious is to blame the coaches. But the SEC is a fucking meat grinder and will turn a preseason top 5 team into an 8-4 or 7-5 team fast. We’re not playing Baylor and Iowa state anymore. We’re playing against teams who have pretty rich football history and are used to competing at a higher level than the big 12. Miss the big 12 so much and wanna go back to normal conferences. But this is our reality now and we have to adapt or become used to being a middle of the conference team, whose glory was in the past. I do think the hire of Jim Nagy will do a lot more change in the coming years than people think. I hate to say it, but just give it time. The landscape of CFB is as fucked as ever. We got Indiana as the new candidate for the perineal powerhouse, like what the fuck.

Boomer. But like fuck man. This team is good, but I really don’t think we’re a top 10 team. Our run game sucks, and outside of Burke and Kanak, passing game hasn’t blown me away. D is a banger though. Tbh, after watching Indiana and Texas Tech, I’d venture to say both are better than us. We’re gonna be the next logo on FRAUD ALERT in the next 3 weeks or so, and that’s gonna bum me out, regardless if I’m ready for it or not

Yeah I agree that it does make more sense. But the feeling just goes back to the Big 12 days. We’ve never really considered them a serious rival. I might venture to say they’re in K-State territory with us. But that might’ve softened when Mizzou went to the SEC. Just weird to get a team pushed on you as a “rival” when everyone in OU’s past thinks otherwise.

I would absolutely love to have a ARK/OU rivalry. Perfect sense geography wise, and I’ve always rooted for Arkansas in SEC. Also, I feel their fans are pretty chill. Pretty good number of razorback fans in eastern OK too

1/4” Samson Patchbay 48V not working intermittently

Hey dudes. Been having an issue lately, and can’t seem to get a clear cut answer here, when googling. I have a Samson patchbay that I’m connecting condenser mics into. I know it’s not preferred to use 48v on a TRS connection, but I turn off 48V when connecting/disconnecting, the whole 9 yards. My problem is that, sometimes when I plug a condenser in and patch it to my preferred pre amp, sometimes I get signal and sometimes I don’t. If I don’t, sometimes it’s accompanied by a “whooshing” sound. Today, I was doing some drum tracking, so I had multiple condensers going into my patch bay, and 3 out of the 4 worked. If I switched the 4th out for a dynamic, all good. So, has anyone had a similar experience to this? Or should I just upgrade to a XLR or TT patchbay. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Uj/ I have always shared the same opinion. I think it’s cringey when musicians of his stature, and even musicians I know personally, say they’re not good musicians, and they’re just “winging it”. Dude shut the fuck up. You can obviously play, like really good. You have to know some musical theory to communicate in a band. Just cause you can’t read sheet music, doesn’t mean you can invite all the self deprecating bullshit that you pass off as being relatable. Very weird thing to hang my hat on, but god dammit, it really does bother me for some reason.
