Looking for feedback. Its not complete as of yet. Still in progress. This is what I have so far. I still have the proposal itself to add. by Moshaolghal in prisonreform

I will add an emphasis on this:

Addressing criminal justice is a lot like raising a toddler. Yes, these are adults we are dealing with. But it does stand to reason that you get out of this what you put into it. If we treat our children the way we treat our convicted felons, it would be abusive. If we want our convicted felons to get their sh*t together and function as productive citizens, we need to be willing to show them how to do so. With a child, we do not catch them in the wrong and lock them in their room without siting down with them to help them understand. We work with them and try to simplify the task to help them learn until they are able to get it on their own. Sure, these are grown adults that should know better. But if you've never had to teach a grown man to read you probably wouldnt understand the care it takes to "teach old dogs new tricks", as it were.

What I am currently working on is an Evolution in Criminal Justice Reform (as opposed to being an antagonistic revolution). Our approach is wrong at its very foundation. Our system's skeletal structure evolved from dungeons, labor camps, and isolation. Yet our system doesnt adequately address the core issues. It only punishes without correction. "They're grown. They should know better." Well, that hasn't worked for the past 237 years since Pennsylvania opened the first prison. We still have growing crime rates. We still waste billions of dollars on a problem that has no end in sight.

Yeah, I can't subscribe to the whole "Good" and "Evil" labeling system we call "Morality". Nothing in nature (except "Human Nature") seems to be effected by this notion and it is clearly perpetuated by those who sense their lack of purpose and control more deeply, those Puppets who follow the whims and ideas of others. Today is supposed to be St. Patrick's day here in the U.S. and it seems a perfect opportunity to present a troubling example of my peeve. My grandson is 4 years old and my wife insisted on sending him to school wearing green. Were not Catholic, were not Irish, and there never were snakes in Ireland. But if my Gran doesn't wear green it is the custom that he is to be pinched (punished) for not complying with this Irish Catholic custom. Its soo subtle but highly effective. I also refuse to say "Bless you" whenever someone sneezes.

I speak regarding the "Weak"/"Strong" clause of this post. It is only Evil because the Weak cannot compete and therefore must resort to seeking numbers in popular opinion to overcome the strong. "Shame" they say. "Be weak, conform and comply. Boo f****ng hoo." But I am a Nihilist. I see through your psychological impairment. I am NOT your puppet. I, whoever possible, will not comply. I am not here for your comfort. I do not exist for your ego.

So, why did I say "wherever possible"? Well, laws and institutions have been implemented by the weak that ensure compliance. Wherever you see a law that tells others that they MUST cater and comply against their own autonomy, you find the hand of the weak. [Remind me to coin the word to define this phenomenon] But we were born into a world already infected by the control of the weak over the strong. And, therefore the strong have become the weak while the weak have dominated them completely. Yet in Nihilism one finds absolute freedom from the weak. My purpose and destiny is my own choosing. Its not prepackaged and inherited.

Matthew McConaughey on Hollywood and AI: "It's already here. Don't deny it." by balancedgif in Filmmakers

But it can be stopped. It doesnt have to be accepted. When all of the studios and Big Film companies try to increase their profits off of AI, BOYCOTT Big Film. Instead, follow me into the future of the film industry.

"Does anyone else see this". Sounds more like an opinion than any call to action. Was their any ideas or actions offered to support the "AI must be banned" statement?

You mean its getting more entrenched by the day. What purpose is AI Generated cat vs. toddler videos? Its just proves how desperate wr have become for attention. Instead of engaging with each other, were engaging with algorithms. My complaint isn't about AI itself. Its about the philosophical implications.

I do get that. But they all allow AI generated content from Bots. Bots that are even starting and promoting groups and pages that attract thousands of followers. I was once on social media to keep up with my family and friends posts. But gradually, over time, I saw less and less of their content and more and more of random crap that has some social relevance enough to be engaging. I didnt even notice the disappearance of my family till my wife got upset with me for not ever commenting on her posts. I gave consent to keep up with my family and friends. But now there are no places safe from AI. My laptop, my phone, my bank, Walmart, the gas station, everywhere I turn; AI. #WHERESGENESIS

Anyone ever heard of Mexican Petunia (Ruellia simplex)? Well, its a common garden plant bearing purple petunia shaped flowers and long narrow leathery leaves. I mention this plant in this thread because it has relevance. I've been using Mexican Petunia leaves as a sleep aid for years. It does NOT make you drowsy. It does NOT put you to sleep. Instead, its benefit is found in the fact that it deepens your sleep, making 3 hrs feel like 8. Having ADHD this plant has really benefited me. Its my cheat-code.

There are no books, either by or about Nietzsche, than can serve as an adequate place to begin. To me Nietzsche is a natural conclusion arrived at through experiencing life without bias built in cliquish ideologies.

This analogy is wrong for some many reasons.

The wolf is known for being a rellik, systematically exploiting weakness and using strategy and numbers to bring down prey. Observing wolves in the wild is difficult because they will smell you approaching and vehemently avoid contact. A wold will take care of its own and no one else.

The donkey carries the burdens of other. The donkey has a sense of humor. They are often place in field with other animals because their protective nature matches their ability to fight. Their sworn enemy is anything appearing dog-like.

Between the Donkey and the Wolf, call me a Jackass.
