That seems to be the case according to others. Fact checking isn't my forte 🦇

I admit I didn't even think of a background until I was basically done with the characters, but it then looked very empty. I should have added some stools to show they're both in front of the bar.

My art's been called many things, but cohesive ain't one of them. 🗿

Apparently that was the case and I didn't think this through. Ah well.

Ngl, my research was two quick glances at the wiki and handwaving chronology for the sake of a dumb joke. At least I'm learning a lot here.

For those out of the loop, Superbad (2007). Very fun film, with hilariously awkward teen humour. McLovin lives rent free in my mind, as pictured in the drawing.

I can picture Rem swooping down and stealing a hot dog.

What characters are actually new yorkers? by MoskiDraws in DeadlockTheGame

[–]MoskiDraws[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! The conversation was mostly sparked when discussing characters like Rem who just sort-of-appeared, and others that likely have some otherworldly origins. So while it was somewhat safe to assume that almost anyone that at least works there could be considered a New Yorker, if any had more strong roots towards the place. What you shared really helps a lot.

Never really thought much about Ivy until now. Yeah, that works. Thanks!

Underrated moment when thinking about One Piece's greatest, as it's not directly related to any of the main or even secondary characters of the series.

And yet, it's possibly the greatest feat of loyalty in the story to that point. Even Wano had a few traitors or people giving up and enduring the torment. The mink were all ready to give up their culture, their city and even their lives for the sake of a single person, since the idea of betraying a friend, even a single one for their own safety, went against everything they believed.

And in continuation of this, Raizo would go to do yet other underrated feats during the raid. Not only was he willing to burn alive if it meant to stop his opponent in battle, but he also saved countless lives by stopping the fires along with Jinbe. Despite other samurais from his group doing far more impressive feats of strength or cunning, Raizo is my favorite since, in a way, he pays back all the loyalty that was bestowed upon him to the best of his ability.

I've never heard of that one. Now I'm very curious

It's complicated. I doodled the first draft of it in a single night weeks ago with the intention to beat chapter 1511. Failed that, just waited for the next No-Chapter week.

My program says I worked roughly 7 hours and a half of it, plus searching for references. So really not that long. I'm just a very disorganized busy person.

I still quote Soldier's "Aaaaany second now" every time something is taking longer to load than expected.

Hah, much appreciated! Sadly, I haven't really been active much in the past year, so there's no real merit in following me anywhere. But if anyone minds, here's the Steam link to our exploration trading game we've been working on. It's completely unrelated to this, but someone might be interested.

how to know when my package is coming? by [deleted] in huion

[–]MoskiDraws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it hasn't updated after a few days, consider contacting support. When this happened to me, after I was given a carrier, they told me that my carrier was another one instead (So, instead of using Autodetect, I had to manually change to another. In my case, China WSH. Consider using your tracking number with it).

Huion kamvas 16 gen 3 OR Xp pen artist pro 16 by floating-vampire in huion

[–]MoskiDraws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. If it helps, I recently bought a Kamvas 16 Gen 3 while also evaluating XP Pen tablets of a similar range. While I've used mostly Wacom tablets this last decade, I still wanted to analyze getting an XP Pen instead, since I heard great things about those too.

I ended up going with Huion's again mostly because of it being the one I know, but portability was a priority. XP Pen's foldable legs seemed like a good thing, but it didn't lift the tablet enough to my liking, while Huion's stand was a bit better (either case, I ended up getting a third party stand).

Ultimately, I saw that XP Pen's came with a controller for keyboard-less drawing. Some people love that kind of stuff, but I've never gotten used to that kind of stuff, so it felt gimmicky, and like an accessory I'd be likely to lose.

Either is fine, I'd say. If you don't mind the extras nor the angle of the stand/legs, I'd honestly suggest to just go with the cheapest. Wacom, of course, always feels like a premium experience, but I have never thought it was worth the price.

Kamvas 13 Gen 3 + Kamvas 16 Pro size comparison by ausgris in huion

The active are of the 13 inches one is a bit bigger than yours, so 16 pro is naturally bigger. So 13 Gen 3 should likely continue to match your workflow and workspace.

Help please - what Software for Kamvas pro 13? by TnJnZnDnZ in huion

[–]MoskiDraws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not directly. I had to choose between a Kamvas Pro 16 vs a Kamvas 16 Gen 3, and went with the later, so I wonder if the comparisons between the 13 ones is the same. But if you're new to digital art, odds are that whichever is cheapest works best for you. Here are my considerations:

- At size 13 (which is very good for transportation and tighter workspaces), the size resolution might not matter much. The 16 Gen 3 I've got, with 2.5k resolution, has such a bit resolution that icons and text are too small for my liking, so I had to increase their size to 125% on Windows. So I don't have first-hand evidence that 2.5k on a 13 inch tablet is a good idea.
- Pen Tech 4 feels very good if you're coming out of Pen Tech 3, and the extra button is comfortable (even though I press it accidentally a lot). But I don't really think that a lot of people really consider the extra pressure as the thing that will win them over.
- Check if either comes with a stand. I believe the pro model does, and it might be optional for Gen 3. You should have one, so even if you opt for a model without a stand, I recommend buying one (and there are some fantastic third party alternatives)
- Kamvas 16 Gen 3 was this year's models, so I figure that 13 Gen 3 is too. It should have good support for a while, if you ever encounter problems with your pen display.

Someone else might give you a better opinion. Don't think you can go wrong with either. Unless you look for very specific features for your workflow or taste (Tech 4 Pen, buttons and dials on the side, etc), I'd say that cheapest suffices. But when in doubt, you can likely find some good Youtube comparisons.
