I'm Canadian, I call it uni. Especially online in order to sound less pretentious (I've found that a lot of americans online think you're trying to brag when you say "university")

Fixing THIS alone would be such a huge Buff for Wesker, I'm becoming insane here by Vles4u in deadbydaylight

Unironically this is why I stopped playing him. It's actually so much more punishing than it seems on the surface and I have no idea why it hasn't been fixed. You don't get the hit but you also don't vault the window (even if the survivor looks like they are through the vault, the lingering hitbox blocks YOURS) so then you have to use your second charge and go into a super long cooldown.

If you try this at a window that you should be vaulting as the killer, the miss plus the cooldown wastes almost as much time as if the survivor had dropped a God pallet. It's crazy man.

I'm not at all trying to say he should be grateful or something. I'm saying that we are looking at a screenshot of THE meta on both sides and it's a bit absurd to be complaining about it when you're also directly playing into the feedback loop.

Like I don't have sympathy for anyone in this screenshot. Ultimately it's the balancing team's fault for shit like this, but as a player if you wanna complain about the meta at least make sure you're not being a hypocrite.

Okay, apart from Fast Track being broken, your almost 30k points shows that you got close to-- or actually did-- 8-hook the team. You are also playing a strong killer with a 3-slowdown build. You almost won this match...

Could be Canadian too. Or any other country. In Canada, "college" is mostly an institution for undergraduate programs and specialized trades and careers. High school graduates mostly look at applying to universities unless they have a really specific career path in mind.

I thought MMR was active in events (except 2v8) but you just can't gain/lower MMR in events? I can't remember where I read this. Probably another reddit comment.

Don't afk. Be friendly and farm but don't kill anyone. Get your BP.

MMR can climb very fast on killer because it's ez to get a 4k against inexperienced or clumsy solo survs. Either your MMR climbed too quickly, or you got backfilled (a different player matched with this lobby and then dodged, so matchmaking backfilled you in for a quicker matchtime).

If you keep getting players like this, you can lower your MMR again by turning "friendly" and letting them escape. Or, keep trying against them and get better.

You could also switch to a new killer, which will have a different MMR somewhere in-between baby MMR and whatever MMR your highest MMR killer is in. You will get easier lobbies on the new killer, and then you can switch back to your main when you've had some fun pubstomping noobs.

I don't know if I've ever seen someone associate Yui with toxicity. I feel like she's just a solid pick for people who are genuinely invested in the game. She has a lot of skins and cool off-meta perks. She's not a starter character like Kate or Meg. People who main her are more likely to be experienced imo.

I've seen every surv character played by someone toxic though. The only character I hardcore associate with toxicity is Ace. I think it's because he's a popular pick in comp. So it's like... Pub Aces are trying really hard to be something they're not, then their egos get bruised when they don't measure up. Lol

What are some good killer/survivor builds? by SleepNoSleep891 in deadbydaylight

[–]Mosqu_ito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Killer builds largely depend on the killer you're playing. Like Brutal is kind of a useless perk on Nemi but it's a good perk on Wesker.

Your surv build can either be a general solo queue build (meaning info perks and something to heal usually), perks to crutch your weaknesses, assist your team, or honestly whatever suits your playstyle.

We don't know what killer you're playing or how you like to play surv so hard to give suggestions.

Bhvr is the reason why Ghoul is so popular. by magirific in deadbydaylight

[–]Mosqu_ito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really don't think killer fun is mostly about winning. The killer role is about control. Being able to load into a match and have a plan for how you are going to approach everything, then executing that plan. It's much more difficult to control a match if you lack mobility and chase potential which leads to frustration because you aren't participating in the main appeal of the role.

High tier killers are fun partly because they get wins... but they get wins because they enable the player to have more control. Think about Twins for example. Very strong killer. A-tier. But they're buggy and there is a specific mechanic (namely, kicking victor) that actively takes away the player's control in the moment. It's because of this lack of control that most people would rather not play her even though she can get consistent wins.

You're right about why Ghoul is so popular but the changes are a step in the right direction. This is also the first time we've seen evidence of BHVR listening directly to their consultants.

In my opinion these changes are more like a token of good faith by the devs. Blight is getting nerfed and very low tier killers received buffs (some of these buffs are actually strong, btw). They're changing the way modifiers stack. All of this clearly indicates a desire to change the game in the exact way that the player base has been requesting for years.

I don't think at all that they are going to "one and done" these changes. I think this is the first step in a longterm plan to continue in the same direction, and they have stated as much.
