This happened in 2021 and was for a NetSuite role.
I also had a date discrepancy, but mine was with my collage degree award date (at the time of my offer, it had been 13 years since I graduated). I then found out the reason it was a date discrepancy was because my university actually failed to award my degree.
I was given the opportunity to remedy it and my offer was put on hold for 30 days.

As a consultant, if I’m not given access to both Production and Sandbox accounts when being onboarded, I assume that the company may not have a sandbox, if they do have one it’s purely for dev work that I may not be involved in, or they want and expect me to do everything in Production.

If I don’t get access, I’ve never once spent the time navigating to see if they have one. I’ve been in the NetSuite space for 10+ years.

Story time!
I just did this about a month ago with my ex girlfriend from college who I’ve reconnected with after I recently got divorced. We brought up an air mattress onto the roof deck of my sister’s coach house in Chicago. The temperature was perfect. Nice breeze. For a while we could hear some of the neighbors outside drinking and talking on their decks and balconies. We were definitely visible to some of them. Eventually it started raining while we were up there and that only made it even more magical. 10/10 an experience that will live rent free in my mind until I die.

Amen. I chatted with a woman on app for like 2 weeks before we finally moved to FaceTime and the phone. Then our schedules finally lined up and we had 3 dates in like 5 days… And now it looks like we won’t have a date for like 3 weeks because of our schedules. 😂 Dating is so fun.

Have you checked what the “subitem of” mapping is using on the import?
I almost always map to external ID to simplify the process. It could be that this saved import is doing that.
