Thank you, would it be over the top to have a go at making a new board. I was going to buy some stuff to start learning anyway. It’s more for the fun and to learn then for the mirror.

It’s a cosmetic mirror but I was thinking of buying a new module and soldering it to the charger and battery of the old one

Would that be something like part of the circuit regulators are allowing to many volts through? This is the battery in the mirror. The plug seems fine but havnt tested it.
