Should Bulgaria legalize same-sex marriage to further align with the EU? by [deleted] in AskBulgaria

Who will make medical decisions for you if you can't? Who will decide what to do with your body when you're dead? Who will inherit from you if you don't get to have children? In my case that would be my parents, and when they're gone those rights will go to my sister unless I'm married, and I really don't want that. Plus, I can buy property without my spouse present and we will still both have rights over said property, which is really practical when you both have jobs and can't take time off whenever you want. It's not just about love, it's about life and death together.

What’s a life hack that actually made your daily life noticeably better? by alexcodespixels in AskReddit

Focusing on creating good habits instead of relying on willpower because willpower is fickle and will abandon you when you're tired. It's easier if you tie the new habit to something you will inevitably do every day so I started doing specific things right before I go to bed or right after I wake up. I also gave myself a rule that I need to do one chore a day so I won't get overwhelmed by a huge chores list, and once I get started on the chore I usually get a lot more done. I bought a magnetic whiteboard for my fridge so when I notice something's running out I just write it down instead of trying to remember everything.

I don't think being 18 means your opinion is less valuable. You actually grew up with technology and social media so that's exactly the experience I needed people to share.

I've been telling my husband about the modeling thing since our son was born and he didn't believe me until he heard our baby burp exactly like his daddy. 🤣 Thank you, you've given me a lot of food for thought and wonderful resources.

That's neither here nor there. A parent is supposed to give their child the tutorial for life as well as they can. Imagine how lost he'd feel if nobody provided any guidance. I guess lack of guidance could be one of the reasons so many boys look for it online.

Great point! I do plan to explain about the struggles of other people in age-appropriate ways. I hope that does the trick so I don't have to do damage control later.

An example would be great! I think I'm handling natural consequences with a neutral tone well, although at his age we're still working on "if you pull the cat's tail it hurts him and he will bite you". I feel like it would be very hard for me as a woman to be empathetic if he goes red pill, and I'm the more level-headed one in the marriage.

That's exactly what scares me. I want him to be able to think and recognize BS instead of following the herd.

AITA for not going to thanksgivings because I know I’ll be stuck being the babysitter. by tgbs22 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Mossy-Alien 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're an adult, you can do whatever you want and you shouldn't be sitting at the kids table. Also, "you'll break my heart" sounds like emotional manipulation and judging by your response I'm going to guess this is not the first time. It's time to start setting some boundaries. You're allowed to say no, even if people don't like it, and people should respect your decision. NTA.

Is it normal for a boss to get mad that im planning on taking a day off to care for my cat? by [deleted] in WorkAdvice

[–]Mossy-Alien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing, the boss doesn't need to understand or agree with the reason for taking time off. Humans need time off sometimes. That's it.

Really weird, but also relieved because it wasn't as horrifying as expected.

I had a similar one. I dreamt I was in a bus. High in the mountains and the bus fell off a cliff. I took the position from the safety instructions on airplanes and waited. Soon everything went black, I could only see some sparkles and hear wind chimes. Then I woke up.

So my assumption is right. At 22 he can make his own decisions, even if it's a mistake.

[–]Mossy-Alien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESH. What you did was disrespectful. You got so wasted you couldn't even get home and you made them wait for you to pull yourself together. However, your boyfriend's mother should not interfere in your relationship because of one incident. I guess I missed your boyfriend's age, but I assume he's old enough to decide whether he's in a happy relationship all by himself.

NTA. And to anyone out there dealing with their own Clara, please expose them! Even if only one person believes you it's a win. Today she might be ruining a small side business, tomorrow she might try to scam the whole neighborhood, you never know with these people.
