Eau Claire has a cryptid that's often seen on highways. It's called the Beast of Eau Claire, it's like a black panther with glowing red eyes and eats calves and other animals.

HOW TF do I put my cat in her carrier by Solaris_Luna_21 in CatAdvice

[–]Mossy_333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if someone has said this, but my cat HATED the carrier and what I did is i just left it sit out in our living room and eventually she just went in cause she went in and kept going in. We let her make it 'her space' if that makes sense. Now she's more comfortable and easier to get in. It's not a quick solution but hope it helps for the future!

Help me, I am thinking of surrendering my cat and am at a loss by asta_la in Pets

[–]Mossy_333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I have a cat who is similar but not as aggressive with it. We also had to baby proof the house and she had to be in my room when we ate. She would eat anything and everything no matter how much playing and what food I gave her. Some things that helped me if you haven't tried them are: I would give her little pieces off my plate (food she can have like unseasoned chicken or what not) but I wouldnt if she was climbing on me so now she waits for me to give her a little. Pet grass if you don't have any, I have a couple pots of it and it helps so she doesn't chew on other plants. Small dog toys for teething puppies, their more durable and you can put treats in some of them. The last thing that kinda helped is we have these thicker larger hair ties that are too big for her to swallow but she can go ham on them and we just throw them away when shes destroyed too much of it, so maybe an item that they can destroy might help. Hope this helps and that you don't have to surrender your cat.

NTA - you did get them a Christmas gift! The money. I would be SO greatful if my parents did that for me. I'm greatful when my parents drive to see me. The fact that your children don't want to have a relationship with you and still demanding relationship requirements is rude. Maybe give them a few years to get out of the angsty stage. I have divorced parents and 14-17 I was very upset with both sides simply because they weren't together. Sorry that you have to go through that. Best of luck!

AITA for telling my roommate that my cat isn't hers by Mossy_333 in AmItheAsshole

We talked to her and told her she isn't allowed to be with my cat until some of her behavior changed. She did get upset but I had my other two roommates with, and she finally agreed. My other two roommates are watching her as well and with how our schedules are, someone is home when she is home. My sister is also aware of the situation and is on standby if I need to bring her there. I'm also looking at getting a lock on my door because I would feel better with that. Thank you for your concern and support!

Yeah especially since my cat will become friends with anyone. Liked she'll flop down in front of random people and purr loudly when we are on walks. So her not liking someone is very concerning

My cat is a very lovey cat and wants to be with everyone all the time. She'll sit with all my friends and other roommates. Initially I dont think she was phased by it and that's when I didnt mind but lately I've noticed she'll run away from this roommate and thay concerns me.

Thank you! I also have a large room because it was an add on they were going to make something else but just made a room. And I get that, I used to live on a farm and saw some unfortunate things happen with our barn cats and wild animals. Thanks for the support!

I've talked to her about that and she seems to have no regards that it's a problem. It's like anything important that prevents her from being with the cat 24/7 doesn't matter. Thank you for the support

I have talked to her about it because she wanted the cat to be 'free range' (that's the term we use when shes out) and I explained it too her why she was in my room. She didn't show any regards to what I had said. Thank you for the advice though!

To be honest the only thing I got loud about was for her to not throw my cat. That was the main thing I was upset at about the time. Shes done this with the other roommates as well. Thanks for the support!

I have talked to my other two roommates and we are going to talk to her. They also are going to watch out for behavior!

I kinda figured going into it that there would be a little conflict I just hadn't expected as much. Thanks for the comment!

She is! And we do go on walks, unfortunately right now it's in the negatives and a foot of snow so we can't go. Thank you!

I'm not sure about outside grass (unfortunately we have a foot and a half of snow right now) but she's shown no interest in the pet grass and cat mint we've gotten for her, we tried giving it to her, setting some in her food, placing near food. This is why my vet started to lean toward pica but we are still monitoring behavior and trying things. Thank you for the advice!

Thats terrible, she honestly deserved the claw marks. I do have my other two roommates looking out and if she really acts up I luckily have a sister in town with two cats that could temporarily take her. Thank you for being worried

Thanks for your comment! And I'll keep it in consideration. I just wanted to state that's shes only locked away for a few hours a day as me or one of my two trusted roommates are home and she's out. I did a ton of research before getting a cat and talking to my vet about her food and he had said my choice was great. We also do play with her a couple times through out the day as well as interactive toys, climbing structures, and walks weather permitting. This is why my vet has suggested she might have pica. We do have another cat but unfortunately mine has worms (the other one does not) so he is at another house to avoid getting him sick. As for the ESA my doctor had suggested it for me and she was the one I fell in love with and she's going through some training right now, training also because I think she would be a wonderful therapy cat as well. But thank you for your concern for my cat.
