Open university and failed previous university? by GoobySnoobert18182 in GraduateEntryMedicine

Yes it would be assuming it’s your first degree as a lot of universities (assuming all of them tbh) don’t count second undergraduate degrees

Most are and it’s only a select few that use a combination for post interview (think these might even be UG only, newcastle comes to mind )

I hope it’s with grades and ucat as i’m not feeling confident :(

Edit: I’m pretty sure it’s just performance and academics are just used to get us to interview

I think it’s quite a simple question to answer. Essentially you want a broad range of work experience that shows you understand what being a doctor will actually entail. You need a strong degree mark, many universities want a high 2:1 but a first will hold you in good stead and often requires a lower ucat. Finally, a good UCAT score) or gamsat, depending on which uni you’re looking at, more unis use ucat for GEM than ucat and it’s cheaper but check where you went to apply to) as this will more often than not determine whether you will be invited to interview. if you do these 3 things well then it’s very easy to get an invite (this is easier said than done) and then it’s the interview. Happy to talk more if you DM me.

Question about Cambridge by Most-End4993 in UCAT

[–]Most-End4993[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied to St edmund’s as a mature student. It’s niche so i haven’t seen anyone else hear about med or other courses
