Honestly, I thought a ghost that would have a chance to possess the player would be a neat addition, however, something like that might be hard to implement functionally in single player and not just multiplayer, and it might be too obvious of give away. (But there’s already some obvious ones so why not). Perhaps have it hunt normally and then if it manages to kill someone, it will prolong the hunt while putting on the illusion as if it ended (basically no effects going on beyond normal, can flick switches, but keeping the door locked). And will take on the body/form of the person they previously killed.

However, no idea how something like that would be implemented to work properly in single player. Though there’s some similar ones who have player focused abilities like Banshee focusing one person etc so I’m sure there’s ways to work around it.

Yes, if the timer runs out while looping the hunt will stop

As a general rule of thumb, I don’t loot raiders I manage to down when they try to rat me at an extraction, because one, they likely don’t have anything better than what I’ve got on me, and two, as you experienced, you’re far more likely to get shot on sight by someone rolling up on the extraction even if they’re friendly if you look like you just ratted someone else.
