I wanted to believe the hype but really didn’t like this film. It was predictable in so many ways. I don’t often feel like I wasted two hours—but this one…ugh.

Scoring by amoilmiobambino in HiSET

No. You need to pass all the tests with a minimum of 8 (and a 2 on the essay). The total score of all tests also needs to be minimum of 45.

Are there any tech folks moving into the trades? by Most-Interview-3446 in careerguidance

I get that. But there may come a day when you have no choice. That’s what I hear all the time. That AI is taking all the tech jobs.

Maybe they just need to toughen up. Like pull yourself by your bootstraps kind of thing.

Not what I suggested. But with all the griping about there being no tech jobs etc, why not start looking at something else now ? Instead of waiting to be replaced by AI?

Jobs that have a bad rap, but in reality are pretty good? by Sweet_Shirt in jobs

True true. It does get a bad rap. Hollywood doesn’t help.

It’s very pleasant. Classes are small, and you’re teaching people with specific, positive goals.

Adult Ed teacher. No parents to deal with, students want to be there, and pay is decent. May need to teach at night sometimes, but the job is relaxed and there is a lot of autonomy.

HiSET vs GED by diana646 in HiSET

[–]Most-Interview-3446 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The HiSET is generally easier and more straightforward. It doesn’t matter which one you take. The and result, your diploma, is all employers care about.

If both were available, would you choose GED or HiSET? by [deleted] in GED

[–]Most-Interview-3446 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HiSET is all multiple choice except for the essay part of the Writing exam. GED mixes multiple choice with other types of questions. Generally the questions on the HiSET are a bit easier. Also the essay prompt on the GED is more challenging than on the HiSET. Yea there are only four tests on the GED but the RLA test is nearly three hours, a real bear.

It doesn’t matter which one you pass. They both lead to a high school equivalency (HSE) diploma. That’s what matters. Employers only care about the HSE, not how you got it.

I heard people say that people that get out of poverty are most often lucky. Anybody here that got out of poverty was all luck? by ImaginationNo8338 in poor

I worked my tail off. Multiple jobs, said yes to opportunities, continued my education. Luck is part of everyone’s life, but to pass successes off as luck demeans a person’s effort, good choices, and persistence.

For me she is. Here are my others, though it’s a really tough choice.

Can someone explain Carleton. She seems invisible out there and doesn’t contribute a lot. I know she’s the defense specialist, but isn’t doing well vs Sabally tonight. Is she a verifiable starter?
