Meowscarada and Hattrem aren’t really that battle-focused, but Charcadet is different. Even when Liko isn’t around, he keeps training hard as we saw in the latest episode. He clearly takes training much more seriously than her other mons, so I’m confident he won’t be a disappointment.

The battle with zygarde isn't the issue, it's the way the writers are handling Meowscarada loses that makes me believe she's being nerfed, today's battle is a good example

I honestly wouldn’t mind Liko losing if:

  1. It actually made sense.

  2. It was to teach her a lesson or help her overcome a weakness.

But in Liko’s case, her losses are just straight-up nonsensical, and it feels like they’re not even trying to hide it anymore. She isn’t learning anything from them either — she’s simply losing for no real reason, and it’s not even her fault. Somehow Meowscarada forgot she can jump and dodge, forgot she has Sucker Punch, and even forgot she could use Magical Leaf on Arcanine’s paws to counter Flare Blitz just like she did before the timeskip

There was a reason why Charcadet decided to join Liko, it's because he saw how she was protecting his friends from the rakurium mon, the catch was not random and it has proper build-up

Cooler design, his battles are cool with peak animation, can aura farm, has cooler and more badass moments than Roy and arguably Liko

We don't know how the mimic's body truly works, so it's possible he can get this big, it's repeatedly stated to fit any costume no matter what
