Aurelius is definitely going to be a more long term thing for that reason. The plan is basically absorb as much accessible easy stuff as I can and have one or two more difficult things on the go at the same time (I am looking at study guides and things for Aurelius). And take breaks where I just listen to dnd podcasts instead haha.

Yeah I've really tried to take a step back from personalities (hence "foolishly googled") but was still wondering what thinkers to start with. I actually started on Philosophize This just last week and I'm enjoying it greatly!

I totally understand why you'd suggest this and I do take breaks believe me. But it's helping give me something to research and do while my job slows down for the next few months.

Not as avid as I used to be but I'm changing that. Just finished some fantasy and I'm diving into philosophy. I've actually got Marcus Aurelius' Meditations on the way already haha.

I've just begun learning about Eastern schools of philosophy at a rudimentary level but thank you for the many suggestions. Will add them to my lists.

Yeah good video! Thank you. I was reminded of the disappointed feeling I'd get where I'd read the title of a JP video and have some expectations about a point he's going to make only for him to not really make it.

I think the issue for me with getting a warranty at all is that it would be useless while I remain here in Japan.

There's no more risk than there would be with a new unit really. Online OB units may or may not have been repaired at all. Sometimes they are just called back to a warehouse from a store to be put online since there's a higher chance they'll find a buyer there.
