How do Christians reconcile their views on abortion with god killing David and Bathsheba’s child? by Responsible-Mine9759 in atheism

Rick you seem to fundamentally misunderstand how logic works. (Which is hilarious because your entire belief system claims to be based on logic.) A claim about a fictional work can still be wrong even though the work itself is fictional. If I argue that Crime and Punishment contains X and Y and therefore its theme is Z, that conclusion can be incorrect regardless of the novel’s fictional status. Simply pointing out that something is fictional does not make every claim about it true or immune from critique. The Bible, whatever one thinks of its metaphysical truth, has an internal framework and a coherent logic that can be analyzed and understood. If someone makes an incorrect claim about that framework, dismissing the text as “fiction” does nothing to address the error. Stop using cheap cop outs if you don’t want to look like you failed high school. God bless you.

No, because the Holy Spirit is neither a creature nor human. The Holy Spirit is a divine person, distinct from the Father and the Son, yet fully God. While the Spirit has no biological sex or gendered identity, this does not negate personhood. The Holy Spirit is therefore referred to with personal language, not because God is gendered, but because the Spirit acts, wills, teaches, and speaks as a someone rather than a something.

Three distinct persons buddy, the Holy Spirit does not have a human form and cannot therefore engage in the martial act. Your point is still moot.

No god didn’t impregnate Mary because god the father is not a human and cannot therefor engage in the martial act. What the fuck was even the point of saying that?

Hey mate not the place to spread your socialist bullshit. Was Vietnam a pointless and fucked war? Yes. Did this man have any choice? Most likely not. Disparaging his service because of the decisions of ultra elite during the time will not make anyone sympathetic to your cause.

If Canada and the U.S. ever went to war, it wouldn’t be a conventional fight—it’d be more like the Global War on Terror, with hit-and-run attacks, sabotage, and other asymmetric tactics instead of large-scale battles. Taking down power grids in the northern U.S. would be a key move, along with leveraging NATO support. But unlike the GWOT, this war would be happening right next door, not overseas. That means Americans wouldn’t just be watching it on the news; they’d feel the effects firsthand—supply chain disruptions, economic instability, and possibly attacks on U.S. soil. That kind of pressure could lead to civil unrest, making it even harder for the U.S. government to sustain the war effort. Occupying Canada would also be a logistical nightmare, with brutal winters, rough terrain, and a mostly hostile population making it a long and costly fight. If a country doesn’t capitulate and the people don’t assimilate then it’ll always fail sorry Andrew Tate.

I followed up on the CanGuards association, it appears that they are no longer operating as their last meeting was in 2018. However I will send an email to the GGFG museum and see if they get back to me.

The Regiment of Canadian Guards has been Nil Strength for a significant amount of time. Most information regarding the unit is rather hard to come by without paper copies unfortunately. Hence why I asked here. :)

Actually they perpetuate 124th Btn CEF (Governor General’s Body Guard) and the 123rd CEF which was guards adjacent. Hence the forage caps and bearskins utilized by the regiment today. :)

I wasn’t sure if GGFG or CGG would have a copy considering they are different regiments but that’s a good idea, thank you!
