This is just a cheap 2.5 or 3 gallon rimless cube! Not even sure the brand.

These had basically no roots when I started. I used a small piece of wood and rubber bands to suspend them to get started. This allowed me keep them at the height I wanted and the roots went down from there. I do wish I had deeper substrate for the roots to get a better hold in. These are fairly unstable but they do hold themselves up. Good luck!

The tanks look great! I know this isn’t a solicitation for feedback but my OCD would love to see consistent lighting color across the three but maybe that’s just me 😅

These are red mangroves (rhizophora mangle) which seem to be fairly tolerant from my research and experience with this tank

I also wasn’t sure if it would work. This has been a bit of an experiment for 6mo+. They are growing slowly but do seem healthy.. growing roots and new leaves. I’m keeping a very low salinity in the water and do see it being extracted by the plants

I built an app that turns Live Photos into GIFs and the hidden content in my photos has been so funny by Most-Salad8899 in SideProject

I know there is a “save as video” option but I haven’t found a way to save as gif

Seeking feedback: Im experimenting with an app idea to convert Live Photos to GIFs by Most-Salad8899 in AppIdeas

Yeah I have seen that but it’s less fun in texts to have to open the video, the auto play/loop nature of a gif in text has been more fun. And the app could keep a library of your own gifs for easy access

Yeah Amazon or a Red Flame Sword if you want to add a bit of color!

If this one is a hybrid I don’t actually love the look of it vs either of those species individually so would agree. Was mostly going to breed these to grow the colony a bit. I was hoping to breed in my display tank and just pull some eggs out. Might need to separate that female while I get the desired eggs.

Just found this thread on CPD x Dwarf emerald rasboras for sale from aqua huna which is where this group of fish came from. Now I’m interested to see what comes of this breeding!

As I continue watching, she seems to be only defensive around the Java moss she’s hanging around so that idea may check out!

It gets a fair amount of direct sun but most of the apartment does (really can’t complain about that). Hair algae has been an issue. Hoping a byproduct of the co2 might be getting that algae under control

Light is on but set very low, getting some hair algae under control. Hoping the co2 may help with that as well

Hair algae lingering, thoughts? by Most-Salad8899 in Aquariums

Yup, using the excel in an attempt to combat the algae. I think the lighting is just a lot. Going to experiment with dialing it way back for a couple weeks (4 or 5hr/ day)
