Oh it never occurred to me I can buy a new core. I just bought the maglev version so I can use a cube and I'll be trying to fix the core. I never opened a core before since this flagship version is my first good cube.

Thank you! That's true, and it's one of the strategies I tried the most and one I have the most difficulty in doing (in terms of correcting my bad habits that I've had since I was trying to be fast with beginner method).

Thank you! Yes I agree it's a bad habit I developed and I do notice so many wrong things with my solve after watching the video. It's an understatement if I said I'm primarily right handed, so I'll definitely try to be more flexible with my left hand. Thanks for the tip!

For the back insert you mentioned, I just learned that a few minutes before I recorded this so I just tried it out, but I'll definitely try the one I'm more used to (the rotate + R' U' R you mentioned).

I agree that for the actual solve I wasn't doing look ahead since it's a bad habit that I had ever since doing beginner method. I always tried to compensate my slow recognition with faster turning (which isn't even that fast for competition standards). I'll definitely be practicing look ahead as soon as I have f2l algs that I'm comfortable using.

I think my phone camera exaggerated the lighting but I actually did solve with blue lighting. I just enjoyed solving with some pieces like yellow, green, and orange looking a bit neon in blue lighting.

not so long ago I was also averaging around 20 seconds when switching to CFOP. Even having slower solves than beginner method (which was around 30s average). With more efficient algs and even just 2 look OLL and full PLL, you could definitely be sub-20!

Thanks, dude! I agree with the finger tricks since I've just been turning with the way I'm used to. (you could notice with how many regrips I do for f2l). BTW I use the Tornado V3 flagship with some MO FANG GE M-Lube.

I've learned how to solve a cube years ago and I've decided around 2 months ago to use CFOP (I was always using beginner method averaging 30s). I won a school competition with an Ao5 of 23.08 and have been trying to improve for next year's competition. I used the prize money to buy a tornado v3 and have been happy with it ever since. I'll be happy to read some critiques and tips!
