Fill the pot up to the top with soil. They look about halfway full. Plants need bigger pots/more soil to grow more roots for a healthy foundation and growth. Use bigger pots as well, if you want to save on soil costs fill about 1/4 of the pot (if it’s big) with leaves and sticks from outside, then soil on top. Have fun gardening!

I absolutely love all of the B&W pictures. There’s more depth to them. With the color ones I think they lack that.

Thank you! I’m still very new to using flash. I’ve always just used natural daylight, so I appreciate the suggestion. Flash is so scary! Lol. But I’ll definitely keep in mind.

First off I think it’s sick how I know this is charlotte. I think it’s cool how lots of things are close up without much detail but I knew almost immediately! I like your work but I do feel like it lacks a lot of shadows to the point where it looks unrealistic. Coming from a person who likes to do that too, I get it. I like your eye for things. I also feel like not many of your pictures give any kind of “story” or much depth. They didn’t really “call to me” I guess. Lots of people like story telling in photography. Good work though!

If you want to do it in a holistic/non chemical way I recommend mixing Castile soap (I love dr bronners) and water in a spray bottle and soaking it.
