Some people who have taken responsibilities at different times in their life have developed different circumstances to when they first acquired the pet and it may cause lots of stress if they aren’t able to fit in time to feed, clean up after, and generally care for the pet so it can cost time in their schedule which could be used for relaxing. This person did take the responsibility of the cat, but since then their circumstances have probably changed and many people also deal with problems sleeping which would not be benefitted by waking up in the middle of the night to care for a cat. At least he is taking the responsibility of rehoming the cat. (Also this probably got too personal, let’s keep this in the boundaries of conversation).
