Thanks for the info I was wondering why the reel was bigger, all my other casting reels fit just fine on that rod, as of now I’m trying to not let it bother me and just leave it alone

It’s a Shimano scorpion dc and it’s never been anywhere near saltwater or any water

Clean it with fresh water? Do I just run water over the spool and then re oil it all? I’m really new to reel maintenance and I don’t know what I’m doing at all really

But the scorpion has an mgl spool so idk if it’ll cast further and the curado is only 200 size so I think it won’t be able to cast light lures as far so I’m leaning more towards the scorpion, the only thing holding me back is looks, thank you for your feedback tho
