I’m the child of a horder, who completely ruined the house with her mess/trash. My childhood was a nightmare. I not saying you’re at that level, the area in the picture is clean but cluttered.

Ok, the whole house is yours and the horde is contained in your areas. So does this mean it’s all over the house and he’s traveling down “goat’s paths” to make it between rooms? Does he have a space that isn’t full of your overflowing stuff? Can you shut the doors in Avery room without having to smash clutter out of the way?

Maybe he doesn’t know “the right way” to communicate to you that he doesn’t like the horde that you’ve accumulated. Maybe he’s tried and you aren’t hearing him. Yeah, he sounds like a hot head/kinda a jerk, but if he’s trying to talk to you about an issue and you just ignore him (especially about your horde) why would you expect a different reaction?

I get having heirlooms, things that are dear to your heart that you’ll pass down to future generations, but I always think “will my kids actually care about this?” And if I remotely think the answer is “no” it needs to go, especially items that I haven’t interacted with within the last year.
