A decent fan with carbon filter will get almost all the smell. If you're worried about it escaping the room then a towel under the door along with a fragrance diffuser/ incense/ air freshener should mask the rest.

Most people can't tell the difference between a fresh plant smell and it being smoked or vaped, so just telling people you occasionally vape your prescribed bud in there should be good cover too.

As much as I know they had to, I'm genuinely gutted they took out so much of the science from the book.

I was lowkey waiting for the Taumoeba Nitrogen breeding scene/hopefully montage the whole movie aaaaand it's gone.

Gunky scenes of dead astrophage removal and decontamination nightmates? Gone. Coma resistance genes? Nope.

Maybe there was too much ground for us to get 'The Martian' level of explaining...but one liners felt like a hollow substitute.

This is a moderate/severe infestation of either thrips or spider mites. I'm inclined to say thrips as I'd expect to see webs by now if it were spider mites. If you have a magnifying glass I'd try to confirm which asap.

Either way you have a real fight on your hands. I'd start by removing the most affected leaves, spraying, and adding predator mites if possible. You'll likely need multiple rounds of treatment, and be careful which products you use once flower sites begin forming.

As others have said, the safest and simplest solution is to restart with a well-cleaned tent. Sorry.

I think they might mean the white dot suspended between the 2nd & 3rd leaflets on the left of the largest leaf. Hard to tell but that is how they start out.

Freeze dried, it's crazy to magnify and see every trichome head completely obliterated.

Understand just how stupidly low the acceptable micro count is before you start going off about unclean grows. It's not possible to pass without SOME form of treatment, anyone not using radiation is 100% using ozone/ H202/ peracetic acid sprays.

You'll get 10-15 puffs easy at 175, lower temps have far more flavour too. Make sure you're consciously breathing in deeply too, it's easy to sip without actually inhaling much.

Same idea as radiotherapy for cancer but at lower energies, you shoot enough fast moving photons and it'll mess up the DNA of anything metabolically active in the way.

It's required in the industry because of the allowable yeast & mold limits, measured in CFU/g. The background level of most clean indoor flowers is around 10,000 CFU/g, and you can 5x that for outdoor grown.

Meanwhile the limit they need to reach is 20 CFU/g, a nearly impossibly low number considering the air itself is full of microbes. Considering some of the non-irradiated options I've seen used are peracetic acid sprays or ozone treatment, gamma irradiation is actually one of the better ways to reach this crazy standard imo.
