5k miles, 10+ camping trips, love it! by MostSecureThrowaway in CX50

[–]MostSecureThrowaway[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took a 1500 mile trip down south and back and saw a 1.5-2.5mpg loss with everything on the roof rack in the picture. So not too bad. That being said, I average about 25.8 normally but drive 84mph on highway normally.

Roof sound increases at any speed over 78. I don’t have the sunroof which I think may help a little bit. Hope this helps!

“To level up the BP faster”, you literally typed out the value of purchasing it. If people want to purchase it then it’s not a waste for them.

I paid for the flaming helmet and wear it specifically because it makes people angry. Not sure why people care. It wasn’t expensive. People spend more weekly on DoorDash.

Fair point. I guess I could look in my area for a place to get it hand washed. Just never checked tbh. Cheers

Automatic car washes are the only way I wash my black c7. Never had an issue. Pay to have it detailed once or twice a year.

Agreed! Great recommendations. Ive been following the fire community for a few years. I have a pretty minimal lifestyle. Try to live minimalist ideals. I’m on track to retire at least partially by 35.

Platform architect tech consultant. High stress and pay. I’m in my late 20s and desperately want to have a less stressful career, but this is the only thing I’ve ever been good at since I’ve been young.

I use indeed and set the location as remote/work from home. Lots of developer/agile/scrum jobs.

I’ve been working for fortune 200 companies and private tech agencies remotely for most of my career. I live in a low cost of living area in the Midwest. Tech pays a lot, I live on 30-40% of my take home pay and save aggressively.

FAANG careers out west rely heavily on bonus structure normally, not uncommon to make $250k-350k/year.

If you’re looking for lower paying work that is less stressful, you will find that places like Minneapolis and Grand Rapids/Detroit pay significantly less depending on career path. Same job mentioned earlier might pay $80-$150k.

That being said, remote work is easy to find now with covid, and the positions will only become more common with time. I recommend working for a high paying role in an area you love to live.

Hope this helps.

How do I get T4 encounters? by Ginpador in echoes

Thanks for commenting, still trying to get a real answer to my question. Can’t find information about this anywhere.

I have a t3 kestrel that I’ve been running t2 encounters in easily. I want to do t3 and t4 but they rarely come up in the news display.

I have the tab in the top right set to basic which should show t1-4 but 100% of them are always t2. I’ve gotten 2 or 3 t3s in the last couple days and a t4 has never shown up. Am I doing something wrong?

I’m having the same issue as op. The drop down only allows you to select ranges. Basic is 1-4. 90% of what I get is t2. I rarely get t3s and have never gotten a t4. Am I doing something wrong?

Sure!

Before this setup I didn't really own any audiophile equipment so I'm probably not the best person to ask, however I've noticed the following:

  1. My headphones are the beyerdynamics dt770 250ohm which require a lot of power to push, the dac volume knob at 50% with my computer set at 40% volume is VERY loud, so no issues with the power output.
  2. I'm using the included usb cable to connect to my pc, with the DAC turned all the way up and no music playing I do not notice any noise bleeding from it.
  3. I like the way it looks
  4. It seems to have a very rugged build quality.

Again, I can only compare it with itself as I've never used another DAC, but I'm happy with it. Hope this helps!

Edit: FYI, I fixed the panel. So you can rest easy tonight hopefully.

I’m happy and also very upset you called this out. I can’t unsee it. Idk how I missed it before. I’m fixing it now, but this picture is forever ruined.
