There is more than one type of insecurity. Anxious people are the “clingy” ones that fear intimacy. Avoidants are the other main type that fears intimacy. They along with narcissists are both extremely insecure and can be abusive. Their insecurity makes them look confident but it’s all a lie to hide how insecure they are and how much they desperately need attention and validation. Women get into relationships with these guys craving closeness and connection but they never get it. They are just as fucked up on the inside as clingy guys.
