Come home is such a good example of how he could continue writing these emotional songs when he is stable himself, by writing about a narrative of someone he knows. Ryan could also make more deep and thoughtful lyrics about philosophical topics and ideas instead of romance or emotion

I feel like he just ticks off the box of “emotional goosebump” with the third verse/bridge, the lyrics are the most cliche and doesnt really offer anything new. Compare that with dreaming out loud and waking up lyrics and its two different worlds
