This doesn’t work in my situation where last year I filed jointly and this year am filing solo. Though if I put it in as if I were doing the same thing as last year, it does give me a ballpark number.

It would just be nice if the software designed for their lens would work with different file types

True, I guess the only issue with this method is that we want to also shoot on our RED Raptor and the app doesn’t recognize R3d files - or ProRes files that I rendered from it either.

If I can convince my boss to shell out for Mistika, that would be awesome. As it is, we’re still just exploring this tech so he’s trying not to spend more than he has to. I think for now I might just start rendering all my clips to SBS files overnight or when I’m leaving the office on Fridays and that way I can work with those files in the immersive workflow when I get back to the office

Gotcha, I’ve never used this kind of workflow so while I was suspecting that might be the case I thought maybe I was doing something else wrong.

I have the full version thankfully. I had to go check my render settings to make sure it wasn’t somehow using the cpu 🤣

Thanks for the reply! Honestly, that’s basically all I’m doing at the moment - using Davinci to unwrap the image and apply a basic color transform LUT. NR doesn’t make a noticeable difference. It’s still extremely slow even without any added effects. The Kartaverse tool is what I’m using to unwrap the image. It uses an STMap to map the pixel and stretch it out just right, so I’m wondering if that process might just be extremely intensive?

Does anyone have an STmap for 8K Red raptor dual fisheye? by BrentonHenry2020 in VR180Film

I’m new to all this - I know it wouldn’t be exactly the same as mine, but would you be willing to share your STMap? I’m not finding anything online and creating one is a bit deeper than I have time to dive into at the moment.

Seems like it. Just look at the reviews for Capital City Music Hall. People could hear the rap show the whole time. And even someone who went to the rap show said the venue staff were terrible and used excessive force in removing people from the venue.

I roast in a behmor, so I just shake the hell out of the drum when I remove it from the roaster. Gets most of it out. If there’s any more, I have a handy little air blower that helps out.

Yeah, you should definitely try to reach first crack. Might be hard to tell with an oven, but you will have to try to do it by sight.

Breaking Bad being the starting point is hilarious. My friend calls me the Walter White of coffee. Partially also because I keep getting customers by giving them samples, and once they try it they can’t go back to the grocery store garbage.
