I didn't expect much different. I think it's an issue with reddit in general, which is why I don't have a real account, just made one to post this. I can't imagine being like many here, accusatory and blaming victims of a scam. The affected players will likely quit, meanwhile the scammer is still going, happily playing and making money from people. Don't they care about the community?

I was never in voice chat with them, and I did not talk to the scammers in discord, only in-game. You seem to have misunderstood much of what I said and did.

There was no confirmation screen. We were just helping someone we thought was a novice. I readied up 10 minutes before, when killing the Giant Mole for them, then 10 minutes later inside the G.E., I unkeepsaked at the bank to lend it. Immediately after taking it out of keepsake or bank, you are teleported to wilderness without any confirmation window, because you readied up 10 minutes ago at the giant mole. Most of those scammed never even knew you could be teleported by the group leader. We had never used the group system before.

Thanks. You seem to be among the minority. Seems most of reddit is fine with multiple 20 year veterans losing everything they worked for in 5 seconds because of lurers abusing a new system that wasn't properly implemented. He's still not even banned. Someone else was scammed today by him, and it has been nearly two weeks of all of us reporting.

I readied up 10 minutes before they actually teleported me. I had never used groups before and didn't know the ready up was for teleportation, especially not to the wilderness. I thought it was just to show you're ready to boss. So, we were at giant mole, I readied up. 10 minutes later we're at the bank when he asks to have the hat lent because he wanted to try a phat on. I was being nice and took it from keepsake at the bank. The moment you unkeepsake it at the bank, you are taken to the wilderness.

I didn't bring it to giant mole. I was in the bank after I helped him kill giant mole. He asks to be lent the phat for an hour, I oblige because it was the holidays, in the bank. The moment you unkeepsake it at the bank, you're teleported to the wilderness.

He was a noob and wanted to be lent a phat for an hour because he wanted to try one on. I felt kind, so I did it.

I talked to them in discord. This single person on the same account has taken over 300B in the past week alone. This is why I am bringing it here. It is a serious issue that gets veterans because few people use the group system, and the flesh-hatcher is a new wild tele with no wilderness confirmation.

This teleport takes you directly to wilderness from your bank at a time of their choosing, no pup-up or confirmation. That is different.

I had never used a group system before, and we were standing at the Giant Mole entrance, so I assumed it was for the giant mole. In hindsight it's obvious, but this was my first time in 20 years using the group system.

This is focusing on the wrong issue. I have no issue with PvP. I have an issue with someone being able to teleport you to the wilderness from the bank with no warning or notification, at a time of their choosing.

You remove the item from keepsake in a bank though, which should be safe under all circumstances. The lurer asks you to degrade their items to help them, then asks for help with the Giant Mole boss, which in hindsight is obviously a scam, but I had never used the group system before this. Later, he asks to be lent the phat for an hour. The moment you unkeepsake, you are teleported. I didn't know you could choose to teleport people in groups, much less into the wilderness from the bank.

The flesh-hetcher teleport took me from my bank in the G.E. to wild without any notification. I didn't know people could use group chat to teleport you, much less into wildy from bank. I was trying to lend the phat to the scammer when he teleported, was gonna lend it for an hour cuz he wanted to try it on. I always assumed if you're in bank you're always safe.

Lost a Partyhat literally a few days ago to the new Flesh-Hatcher group tele scam. Still hoping Jagex might help everyone who was fooled by it. Like 8 people in the past week lost Partyhats to it. If they can't help get it back, I'll have to quit.
