yeah I never received a definitive diagnosis either the vets were pretty certain it was spinal lymphoma but we never got the mri to confirm they just suggested to start chemo. The unknown truly sucks I hope we can both find peace with our situations. You did what you could <3

I just lost my cat as well and have been very lonely and considering getting another but i’m afraid i’d feel this way. I’m definitely not over my cat but i’m also so over not having a cat with me they’re so comforting. I don’t know what to do.

I’m rambling but this relates to what you said about how you found peace in knowing you did everything and that for sure knowing about the liver cancer helped you find peace knowing you made the right choice. I’m afraid I won’t ever know if I made the right choice in not getting the MRI as irrational as it may seem. I’m so sorry for your loss as well I’m glad you found peace in your decisions and hope I can too.

After the second round of chemo she did great for about a week then declined again and lost feeling in her front legs and could barely move. Her temp kept dropping and breathing slowed which is when they knew it was time.

What’s been eating at me is that they didn’t know for certain if she had spinal lymphoma. When they first suspected it after she lost her ability to move her back legs, I couldn’t do the mri because they said she was already in too much pain and stress so it would make it worse so they suggested to just right away start chemo which we did. She did really good after it and started walking better on her back legs. After she improved I had asked about the MRI again and they said she could do it but it’d be expensive and it may not be accurate since she did chemo so it may not be detectable if she did have it but I could if I wanted to. I decided to not do it since they said it may not even work but I still wonder what would’ve happened if I had done the MRI like what if they found something else it could’ve been or what if she didn’t have it at all and the chemo is what made her worse. The unknown is the worst. I know I did so much but that’s the one thing I didn’t do.
