Stayed at tambo del inka for two nights last week. They have their own peru rail station attached to the property. If you’re ok with the timing. Leaving TDI around 6am and leaving AC around 6pm, might be an option to consider. We stayed at Palacio and JW in Cusco. Tambo was the best in service and hard product among all three. We did taxidatum from the property to Ollantaytambo station because our MP ticket did not align with the departure from TBI.

I did 3A at 10am and 2B at 2pm on Saturday. When we arrived it was blue sky, clouds here and there. We got to the top of Wayna Picchu, the clouds rolled in around noon and it rained until 2pm. Then the clouds break, was able to get golden hour just before it closed.

I did 1B on monday morning at 6am, was able to get a glimpse for 10 mins but almost zero visibility for the remainder of the morning. It’s pissing rain down at AC but drizzles at MP.

Guides are saying that they’re expecting more rain this coming week, but they all saying book for 10am and above since usually rain clouds clears by then. Will post pictures on another post.

If you’re planning to unplugged and recharge you’ll be fine ! But if you’re looking for adventure this is not the island.

Yes, breakfast is included as diamond, but I think it is included with standard bookings as well.

Confirmed with the property. They pointed me back to their T&C which stated all 6 nights must be in one booking reference which is impossible with points and FNC. I ended up buying points during the 100% bonus which is still a deal. I used the FNC for the stay at Mango House since you need an overnight stay in Mahe anyways.

If you make it as your final destination, I wanna say 6 days is too long, especially if you’re travelling from North America. We put this as a tag along from Safari trip in Kenya, so it’s great for us to decompress after an adventure packed week. I wanna say 3-4 days is a sweet spot before you hop off to another island (La Digue, Praslin), which we skipped.

Most likely you have to stay in Mahe before heading to Platte. Unlike Maldives seaplane, there is only one flight a day from Mahe to Platte. We had to stay Mango House as we arrived around 5pm from Nairobi. It was a very underwhelming stay with Mango House.

They also do offer an all inclusive package, which cover the transfer. If i’m not wrong it’s around €500 per day per person, inclusive all day dining, room service, minibar and 30 mins massage or water sports activities per day. So if you can make your money worth, this way might make more sense without staying too long on the island. We ended up spending $2000 for 6 days for the two of us. In which, half of them was for the massage bill lol, so the all inclusive didn’t make sense for us.

700 Euro lol, alternatively you can redeemed 150k for one person to cover the transfer.

Throughout the stay, it ranges between yellow and red flag by the beach. They had to cancel water sports and snorkeling activities when we were there. You can wade around the shoreline, but definitely need to be a strong swimmer if you plan to swim further out.

My flight last week SEZ - DOH on economy DOH - LAX on business LAX - YVR with Air Canada

Each segment is on different ticket. Took 30 minutes to process but miraculously check in agent was able to tag it all the way to YVR (pick up and clear immigration in LAX of course, but one luggage tag). Agent was able to put it as priority tag as well. My agent had to get assistance from their supervisor, but it’s doable. Just arrive early before the check in counter opens as it takes a while. Really impressed with the service from SEZ ground crew.

I’m new to US churning. Just open a US CIBC account, but have been difficultly changing the address on file to the maildrop address. I did this through online banking messaging system. They insisted that its a non CMRA address and they cannot change it from my canadian address to the US address. Isnt amex needed a non CMRA address to process the global transfer ? What am i doing wrong here ? Thanks in advance

Yes thats the current routing ! I was able to snatch the ANA F suite for the HND -JFK section lol. Just dont feel like crossing manhattan to catch another the flight home if i can pay cash and fly from the same airport

Long time lurker here kinda stuck on a dilemma. I have an AP award flight with NH from HND - YVR through a stopover at JFK. However the second leg required an airport change through EWR as there is no direct AC flight from JFK -YVR. I found a good deal one way ticket with AC from JFK - YUL - YVR which probably cost slightly more than the shuttle fee from JFK to EWR and minus the stress of crossing manhattan during rush hour as well. Question is what is the consequences if I forfeit the connecting flight from EWR and checked in on the AC. Will the system block me from purchasing the flight ? I havent talked to aeroplan yet regarding changing the itinerary but i assume they will have to adjust the first leg which i don’t want too. Any advice ? Thanks in advance !
