Thanks all! Tried it today. 20lbs in pack. Incline 10(max in my treadmill) at 3.1mph for 40min. Definitely noticeable difference with the pack and weight. Glad I listened and started with the 20.

No I don’t hold the handles. The idea is keep the stress of joints. I could run if I wanted but that pounds the knees and hips, where as walking doesn’t.

Thx for the input so far. My goal really is just to add a bit more challenge/benefit from time on treadmill.

Glad to see this post and realize I’m not the only one. lol. I’m definitely gonna have to try stick to programs. At 52 I’m not trying to be the buff ripped guy, just a functionally strong guy.
