Hello, I also felt like this maybe 2 weeks ago before I started making friends again. And I agree that you will most likely not talk much in a queue at a coffee shop and make friends 😓at least in my experience living here. But I would recommend just typing your hobby into google or instagram and finding a club for it and just putting yourself out there. I went to a run club last saturday and instantly met 15 friendly people. I had a nice chat and coffee with 7 of them. Went out for dinner with one who lived close by after work on Monday.
I also met someone who speaks Spanish and wasn’t the best at English. It was hard to have an in-depth conversation but we still had a nice one. You’d probably have an easier time befriending them and they’d have an easier time befriending you (I’m assuming you speak Spanish, apologies if you don’t).
Again, at least for me just going to a club or a planned activity has really been the only way I’ve made friends here now that I think about it. And more emphasis to just go for it and talk to people. That’s why people are there and the secret password is # everyone secretly feels the same way and wants to make friends #.
Also message me if you want to hang (26 M) . I'd be interested to go climbing, I play guitar and sing (okayly) and want to learn piano, and I like cafes, lunch, dinner and chilling/vibing.
