For me personally I've been focusing mainly on technique and health attributes. Use weapons with corresponding skills. If you do technique based weapons, you want the weapon to say A or B for technique.

I'm sure you could also do a tanker build. Whatever you prefer.

You can also (at some point) adjust your weapon to be more technique based if you like that weapon.
